Did I do something wrong! I posted yesterday and nobody answered Have never posted to any forum before so please let me know. I had the following question.

" If I look on the site without logging in then I can see members Avatars. When I do log in most of them don't show. Its annoying when somebody says - that's a cute dog or great car etc. I'm on firefox but same problem on int. explorer. Any suggestions please. This is such a great site I've been vaping for a month now and cut down 75% on analogs which is totally amazing from a 38yr 35 a day habit."

In the User Control Panel, under Edit Options, there are three checkboxes - Show Signatures, Show Avatars, and Show Images. Make sure all three are checked.

Beyond that, I can think of no issue that would block avatars on two different browsers.

There is a lot of activity in the new user forum, so posts often fall off the front page within an hour or two. If nobody with an answer sees your post in that window, it probably won't get answered. It's nothing personal, sometimes stuff just falls through the cracks

Welcome to the forum "unloved"! (sorry, I had to..) sounds like there's something wrong on your end since we can see the avatars and you can't. BTW: that's the extent of my technical acumen. sorry 'bout that. also BTW: my avatar is just one of those simple make-your-own kind that you get from Yahoo. Looks just like me but I'm in the forest. (boy, this reminds me of when I tried to describe a comic to someone over the phone)

Congrats on your cutting down. I suspect others are like me on here. If I don't know the answer, I don't contribute. I would have no idea why that when you log in, suddenly everyone's avi goes away.

E-mail admin and see if they can help. And welcome!!

New members is the busiest forum and posts get pushed from page one pretty fast - and readers tend to hit page 1 and page 1 only so..that's likely why no-one replied - that and we have no idea

Thanks people - Candra's suggestion worked. I hate forms so didn't scroll down enough and didn't have "see Avatars" etc. checked. I'm good now. I figured it was because of so many post- isn't it a great problem to have - so many people finding out about the forum. Talked to somebody today who had bought e cig at a Car show, he didn't know anything only that he really hated the taste. Gave him forum link, thank goodness you are all there. Tks
