Sorry to hear that, how long had you been off?

Was it because vaping didn't provide the same feeling and satisfaction as analog smoking? If that's the case the best solution is to keep trying different PVs and juices. Initially I started off on a 510 and as much as I enjoyed it the feeling wasn't quite the same and the hassle of swapping out cartridges didn't really appeal to me. I stuck with it though until I got my eGo-T and while it hasn't been a long time I can't envision going back to analogs because I enjoy vaping way too much. The eGo-T gives me just enough throat hit and vapor production and it's completely hassle free (IMO).

There are still some occasions where I know I might be tempted to smoke an analog, i.e. Friday night hanging out with friends who are all smoking and drinking. In those situations I load up a 24mg full flavored tobacco cartridge and vape away and the temptation is completely gone. As the evening progresses I switch to fruitier flavors and life is good :)

Good luck getting back on the wagon :)

I have recently gone back to analogs full time and was looking for advise on how to get "back on the horse" and try again with e-cigs

The fact that you want to is the first step. I'm curious what your reasons were for going back to cigarettes. Have you tried other methods of quitting?

I had many many failed "quits" so I truly sympathize with you. The best thing is to keep trying. You hang in there.

Not much info to go on Alphavap but the good thing is that we can all learn from our mistakes. If the situation you were in caused you to fail, then avoid that situation or plan on how you will cope with it in the future. If vaping isn't cutting it for you, keep experimenting until you find the right setup for you. Above all, don't quit trying - ever!

Could be your nic intake wasn't high enough. I had that problem with store bought ecigs until I found this site. Also, when do you smoke your first one in the AM. The earlier the smoke the heavier addiction to nic. I was a 40 year pack a Reds a day smoker. I quit over 20 times over the years using all known methods. PV's are the only thing that worked for me and I was sure I was the only person on the planet that couldn't quit.

The battle isn't over until it's over. Don't feel bad, consider this a learning experience, remember how good you felt (physically and mentally) when you were off them and just get back on like nothing happened.

Good Luck and God Bless

I am a pack to a pack and a 1/2 a day smoker. I started out on the safecig and jumped right into the gogo. I had some bad luck with a round of carts for the gogo that were burnt..bought more that were fine but that was the beginning of the end. I then had some personal matters which included a funeral for my step father and am back to a full time smoker. I had been using a 24 mg ry4 not sure of the blend but if\when I start back up I will probably stick with a 90\10 ry4 that I like from aquavapor here in GA.

to answer when I smoke its the 1st thing I do when I wake up and the last thing before bed. those were the 2 hardest ones to give up. I have smoked for almost 34 years. I was tobacco free for 6 weeks which for me is a big deal after the patch, chantrix, etc

Good job wanting to get back off the cigs. I primarily vaped 24 mg, but needed something stronger for classic craving points like just after waking up -- I used 30 mg/ml do-it-yourself tobacco, both a very cig-like tob4 and a bit smoother tob5 blend.

I don't know the gogo, but at least in the Riva 510 I found lower resistance cartomizers tended to be good -- warmer, more vapor, overall more satisfying (I started with a KR808D-1, where higher voltage meant more power, so had to specifically go to LR for the Riva).

My story is very similar to yours in that I was 1-2 packs a day and first and last thing everyday. No more smokes for me, but I now vape when I first wake up and right before bed so that hasn't changed.

Don't let the setback discourage you. It took me months to get off the smokes for good. And a few tries with different equipment.

The kicker for me was finding a low maintenance, convenient setup and a juice flavor I liked enough to vape all day. Cartomizers with V4L Wow coffee (18mg or 24mg) was my sweet spot and adding long lasting fat batts (ego) to the mix finally did it. I've now made it through some major stress times with this and have gotten comfortable enough to know it works.

Good luck!

Yes, that too. Low Resistance cartos helped me along after quitting for good. Forgot about that.

Re bedtime and morning cigs - what helped me was a spare battery so I could leave the ecig set up all night. And of course cartomizers so I don't have to fight with an atomizer and cart in the morning. I can vape up to the second I go to bed, and the second I get up with no assembly, no disassembly, no screwing with anything.

Cartos - that 90/10 is 90pg/10vg juice? Should work well. My issue w/ Gogo as a choice is the lack of variety - do they even have any adapters for it yet? 510-threaded fat battery models have such a wide variety of atomizers and cartomizer styles, in all different resistances for different amounts of heat, and tank attys too w/ tanks.

A tip from me, for what it's worth -

When I'm craving the "nicotine" more than the "habit", I vape until I get the mild hint of a headache beginning. This tells me that I've gotten enough nicotine, and if I stop vaping at that point, the headache immediately ceases and the craving is gone right after the headache. Don't know if that would work for everyone, but it does for me.

For the "habit" vaping satisfies me much more than analogs because it doesn't leave the same foul taste afterward.

There's lots of good stuff on the market now. Be sure and check out the slb ego style, the e-power, the noego and a few others. The slb supposedly is a great battery that puts out close to 4v right up to recharge time. Here's a good vid if you want to check it out. Also check on the duel coils and the ce2s as well as the tried and true lr cartos and attys. Some of the equipment is still a bit of a hassle to use but all I can say is that I feel so much better now and I think it's well worth the effort.
