Just a friendly FYI, it's called "vapor" not "smoke". We don't smoke anymore, we vape. We are trying to separate ourselves from the perception that we still smoke.

I clean atomziers with pure grain alcohol (PGA). I think it works reasonally well as long as you start the cleaning before the atomizer gets too gunked up. I use PGA instead of rubbing alcohol because it doesn't leave a bad after taste. I put the atty in a small bowl of PGA and shake it around for 5 minutes and then let it sit for maybe an hour. Then I just take it out, let it sit over night and can start using it the next day if needed. Generally though it will sit for several days to a week before I start using it again.

Multi-part cleaning

First - you should order at least one spare atomizer. it is always good to have 3: two to alternate and one that is just a spare. Atomizers don't last forever.

I blow out the atomizer into a tissue to clear out any juice and you can run water through it at the faucet. Then I boil water and put the water in a deep bowl. I use a tongs/tweezers to hold atomizer underwater and tilt it up underwater to let out all air bubbles. I let the atomizer soak for 15 minutes. Then I scoop water through the atomizer. Then I shake out or blow out the water from the atomizer. That stop helps loosen up gunky dried liquid. Then I put the atomizer in a jar of alcohol (vodka or edible grain alcohol). You can use rubbing alcohol - just remember it is poison. I tilt the atomizer under the alcohol to let out all air bubbles. then I soak it overnight. Next day I shake out the atomizer to get the alcohol out then I set it to dry on paper towels. A few days or a week later, I switch to the clean atomizer and I prime it with eliquid first (dripping 3-4 drops on the bridge and I wait for the juice to soak down to the coil)

Note - some people keep their atomizers clean by running water through them every night then shake out and set it to dry, then reprime with juice the next day.

Thank you for this information Dormouse. I've just received my new ego-t today and am getting familiar with it, so I've copied your instructions and will save them for future use.
