Hello again everyone,

Ten days smoke free and LOVING it! When I first ordered my Joye eGo, I went ahead and ordered a drip tip as well because I had read a lot of good things about dripping. Well, it took me about an hour and around forty drips to come to the conclusion that dripping was not going to be for me. Too much hassle IMO. I wanted a method that would allow me to fill up and go and not have to carry a bottle of juice around with me everywhere. After doing some more researching, I decided to give the XL cartos for the eGo a try, and these were my lifesaver! I love them so far! Holds a lot of juice, and with my vaping habits topped with the amazing battery of the eGo, it last me an entire day! I have been very pleased.

My questions are these:

1). The XL's claim to hold 2ml of juice, but I have only been putting 1.8ml in an empty carto to avoid spills. Usually about midday of the next day, I will start getting the 'burnt taste', so I will go ahead and refill. Now, considering the burnt taste is suppose to signify a carto getting empty, it would seem like I could almost fill it full again but it won't let me. After I get the burnt taste, it seems like I can only fill about 1.2ml before it begins to overflow and spill. Does the atty in the cartos actually scorch old juice still in there, and if so, is there a way to 'drain' out the bad juice before you refill?

2). I know there are a lot of posts on this topic, but I will ask some of you veterans anyways. :2cool: Does a VG base clog up and destroy the cartos faster than a PG base? Right now, I have one carto filled with 100% VG 24mg, and one carto filled with 100% PG 24mg. I love the PG for the better flavor and TH, but the vapor production just isn't there compared to the VG.

3). For mixes, what ratio would be best for great flavor/TH and vapor production? I just ordered a bottle of 20/80 PG from Vapor Bomb and I should have it in a few days. What do most of you vets use mostly?

4). Lastly, are there any tips on getting more longevity out of the XL cartos I should know about? I know they are disposable (I ordered two boxes of them and have only used two so far), but I would still like to get the longest use out of them possible. Can they be cleaned at all?

Once again, thanks for any advice in advance you can give me! :thumb:

100% VG doesn't wick well so that is probably part of the problem. I use a 60PG/40VG mix and that works just fine for me. I get plenty of vapor, but I'm not a big fan of TH, so you'll probably want to bump up the amount PG. Mixing the two is a give and take thing. If you want massive TH, you'll have to sacrifice vapor.

Are these the eGo Mega Cartomizers that you have to fill with a syringe?

The roughly 2ml is what they say as you found out about 1.8 is the max without leaking. This is normal. as for the burnt taste and only filling up with less, you will get that as the juice tends to get away from the coil but is still in there- I found the dual coils get more of the juice before getting that taste, but filling is quicker because of the resistance. Cleaning can be tried but I have never had much success with that-they are meant to be disposed of and 4-6 uses is about average.

I haven't found that VG or PG clog up or kill the atties/carto's with any faster or slower results. VG is thicker and tends to have a harder time flowing but I don't think it makes much of a huge difference in the life of your carto's. I like a 60/40 mix as it seems to provide the best taste, vapor and TH. I changed my wife over to the Tanks on her eGo as the carts were not easy for her to work with. I went with LR T-atties and clear tanks. She loves them and I think they work well-some people don't like them but it appears the most that hate them use 5-6v mods and the eGo is no where near that level of vaping. I'm using mods primarily but look at the system realistically- It's not going to compete with a MAP style tank and 5v, but for the comparison it seems way better than carts.
Hope this helps!

Get some echo-e cartos for ego batteries. They are the new bottom horizontal coils that hold 2.5 ml of juice and are cone shaped. They are the best I've ever used on an ego and they vape very good. They are similar to the Go-Go cartos and the first designed for an ego. They are going to be hard to get but if you can get any get them, you won't be sorry. I've tried a lot of different cartomizers and atomizers on ego batteries in the last year and a half and these are the best. I've been using a Go-Go and the new auto Echo for the last few months and they are working awesome but I wanted something to use on all my ego/Riva batteries I've acquired trying new stuff that never worked good for me. I've been waiting for these to come out and they arrived this week. Everyone that has been fortunate to try one say the same thing. They are good for at least 100 refills and no one has burned out a coil on any of these type cartos in four months that I know of. You can get them at Echo Cartomizers | Cropduster901.com He is out of stock but should have more in tomorrow. Remember only the Echo-e works on egos.:2cool:

I usually vape 70pg/30vg. The only juice I vape that's different is Vapor Bomb Peach. I've tried it in every ratio and to me the perfect ratio for that juice is 60pg/40vg. Perfect peachy flavor.

Now they've changed their peach so I don't know.

I am also a noobie, so take this with a grain of salt. I also use an eGo 900 mah, and I am using Boge lr 2.0 cartos. IMHO, I think you are waiting too long to top them off. It seems that if you wait for that diminished or burnt taste, you filler is already getting brittle, and it will not absorb as much juice. I ws seeing tiny black spots on top of my filler material, even tho I never tasted that burnt taste. I will no longer be waiting for the funky taste, but I have been simply topping the carto off with a several more drops periodically. I'm getting much better performance overall. I also have some mega cartos and dual coil cartos ordered, can't wait to try 'em.
