Cartomizers

Hi I'm new here and been vaping for a couple of weeks with the eGo. I've been using carts mostly but find the end dries out too quickly so am trying cartos. Do all cartos have the membrane to pierce as the ones i got didn't seem to have that and seemed to fill fine. I couldn't do the condom method as it had the .... plug cap. So am I correct in just filling up the carto by dripping juice in the battery end until it drips out the bottom? How do I avoid getting a moutful of juice on the first puff? These are the cartos I have

If you dont want to get a mouthful of juice, all you need to do is tap the excess out onto a tissue or something. Attach the battery and swing the mouthpiece end down onto the tissue in an arc and that should get the excess juice out.

Filling through the threaded end should work fine as well, if you got a syringe you can use that too.

your overfilling them if a lot of juice is dripping out the bottom, this is probably why your getting juice in the mouth as well.

you can PROBABLY let them sit for a bit and the wick will pull in more of the juice or if you have really overfilled them you can blow a little out.

For whatever reason I can not follow your link but I am assuming you are talking about the carto's that you open and you can see the white filler with a small hollow tube in the middle.

Thanks guys. Yeah didn't really let it sit at all. Might have to get a blunt end syringe as well to be a bit more precise.

You need to get a syringe with a blunt tip needle. When I fill mine, I pop the dropper top off the juice bottle and draw up the amount of juice I want. I insert the needle into the fill port and put the bottom of the cartomizer on top of the bottle and fill it. If I overfill, then all the juice drips out back into the bottle. I let the cartomizer sit on top of the bottle for a few minutes just to make sure it isn't still leaking. Put your port cap and mouth piece cover back on and vape away!

Hey from what I have experienced the best way to fill up cartomizers is to use the syringe method(check out the attached video I did for more info). If you are using the eGo and dont have a MEGA atty yet I strongly suggest you upgrade! The carts for the MEGA attys hold 2.5ml of juice! Thats a lot of juice, damn near all day. I use BogeTech and Bauway cartomizers from MadVapes. I don't typically fill them full unless I know I'm going to be out or busy for a while (plus, they vape less when stuffed with juice). I tend to kinda "maintain by dripping" I guess. Been actually using a drip tip on some of my cartos lately...LOL. It's what works for me.

Ahhh...just noticed you're using the eGo XL cartos (linked page finally loaded). I don't know that one.

Thanks for the offer AP but I've got the mega atty & carts as well. Just trying out different methods to see whats works best for me.
