fight the temptation to be smoke free

A few months back I desided to pick up the 901-t from unique cigs. Becuase I dont want to smoke anymore for a few different reasons. for a while did great with not smoking for the most part went from a pack to 1 or 2 cigs a day almost over a weekend period. I picked up an ego-t which is better then that crappy unique. But im in the middle of a move now and stressed out my gorde and Im smoking just over half a pack again. Im working on fighting the temptation to not pick up anymore cigs from the store. Does anyone here have any suggestions I could use to put that urge away.

Everyone deals with stress different. Don't kick yourself for taking a step back. Having to move during this time of the year sucks. Just be glad it's not raining (I'm not far from the back gate of JBLM) For me, I keep battery charged and 2 tanks ready at all times. Have not changed my habits, still go out side for breaks at my normal time and if I feel the need for a smoke, I pick up the eGo.
Been off analogs for only 2 weeks but after 33 years I expect to slip once and a wile, more so since the wife still smokes analogs. As long as you stay positive it will happen.
Where are you getting your supply's and what brand/streangh juice you using? I know there is a shop in Lakewood and another in Fredrecson. Haven't been to the one in Lakewood but the guys in Fredrecson are nice with reasonable prices.

Dunno. As someone who smoked for 30 years and reached for a cigarette if I was stressin' because the toilet was plugged, stress just hasn't been a trigger for me to even consider returning to smoking. And that included, without getting into details, three major "life events" in the last couple years a lot worse than moving.

Ultimately you have to want to quit smoking and it's unclear from your post if you ever did. If you don't commit to that direction and are still smoking a couple few here and there then, yeah, it's easy to back slide right into - not vaping at all again.

On a practical level, you need to physically separate yourself from your cigarettes. If you now keep them chair side, in your pocket, on the table etc. you are just making it too easy. Your PV belongs on your night stand. Your pack of cigarettes belongs on the top shelf of an inconvenient closet. If you really are going to have one - make yourself go get it. Every time.

My dear friends as Jack London indicated in his famous novel John Barleycorn, a drink can always find the opportunity to indulge. The weather is good you drink. bad you drink everything is all right you drink, sucks you drink so on.. Smmoke always have excuses also.
The matter a vaper wants to have a cigarette is only his liquid has less nicotine. All you have to do is increase the nic level. Once you are free you can decrease in time.

I am now 2 1/2 months cigarette free. I have had weeks that I didn't crave one at all and other weeks that I did crave them more. Like walking out of a grocery store and someone standing there smoking....it smelled SOOO GOOD. Then other times..like when I took up all of the ashtrays from my house (did that after 2 weeks, left them there rather than touching them) anyway, once I took them and washed them all etc...they really STUNK. LOL. But, after 38 years of smoking 2 packs a day, I have FINALLY found something that satisfies me enough that I can resist the temptation. I keep 3 ego style mods charged with 3 different flavors that I rotate during the day. I love the fruit and sweet flavors so I usually have one filled with blueberry flavor, one with pina colada flavor and the third one is more of a real cigarette flavor. The two sweet flavors have the 18 mg of nicotine in them and the one that is cigarette flavor has 24 mg of nicotine. So what works for me is to rotate the three...keep them all in my pocket (I wear scrub top clothing as a dog groomer) and when I am having a bad craving and the 2 sweet flavor ones are not satisfying me...I then use the cigarette flavor with the higher nicotine in it. I really think that is pretty important for me....to have one that tastes more like a real cig and higher nicotine level than normal all the time stuff. That way I do have something to fall back on when the actual craving gets stronger. I also just hit it now and then just to help keep me from getting that strong craving also. Anyway, one thing I tell my friends that I also do when the craving is stronger is...get the stronger one and don't just hit it once....hit it several times in a row until the actual craving is not so strong. It really does work for me. If you can make yourself WAIT for 5 minutes once the craving is strong..while hitting the stronger cigarette flavor vape....the strong craving goes away and then you can grab the one with a different flavor to start vaping again. Now, my husband doesn't like the different flavors like I do so he is still having an issue when drinking his morning coffee. He is down to 2 analogs in the mornings. Soooo...I had read from some other boards that a lot of people who don't like the flavors and even didn't like menthol analogs do actually like the menthol flavor vape. So yesterday, we went to Vulcan Vape so he could test it out. He did like it so bought a small bottle to try out. Will post back later to let you know if that is helping him. But I KNOW one of his problems is that when he gets that craving....he goes ahead and smokes. Can't get him to hit that vapor about 5 times in a row to get rid of the craving. You know, men are stubborn and us wives know NOTHING LOL. Anyway, now that I am 2 1/2 months into Vaping and no cigarettes, I rarely get those strong cravings anymore. But I do still catch myself looking for my pack of cigarettes. Like sitting here on the computer, I just naturally start reaching all around me trying to find them before I then remember...."Oh yea, I don't smoke anymore so I then feel a little dumb and grab my vapor. A 38 year habit is really hard to break so I am sure I will naturally reach for them for a while before I break that habit. Another thing, for me...the ones that actually LOOK like a cigarette did not work at all. I found that I would try to hold them like a real cigarette and since they are heavier etc, they felt awkward. Using the Ego style ones, I naturally don't try to hold them like a real cig so, I now realize that it was just a psychological thing for me, but it just did NOT work at all. I am so excited about this actually working for ME...since I am a person that has tried many things and didn't even make it a whole day before going back to smoking with those things....that I have bought these as christmas gifts for everyone that I know that smokes.

It took me a full two years to make the switch. Any time I got stressed I immediately reached for a pack of Marbs. I went almost seven months not vaping at all at one point.
Then last week something finally "clicked". I haven't had an analog since, and quite frankly they gross me out now.
I smoked for 25 years and never thought I could quit. It may take time, but you can do it. Go at your own pace, and don't feel like you have to make a complete switch. Do what feels right for you!

Took me a few attempts to stick with Vaping for more than a day or two. I found using a 24mg juice with a Ego-T battery and a bog standard CE5 tank worked, when it was literally hanging around my neck. Every time I felt stressed, take a vape. It takes a lot to not reach for the regular smokes when stressed, and think I'm actually vaping more than I'd have normally smoked, but feel better for it regardless.

Don't beat yourself up, just try again, and again! I've been trying to quit for over 10 years, vaping is definitely worth sticking at for as long as it takes :)

I have fumijuice its 20mg I have one tko thats 24mg but im not sure what it i find myself vaping on it alot. And I think im going threw atomizers or something becuase ill get a great cloud and then next day itll belike a half cloud on a long hit

Just picked up a kangertech t3s tank and I deffenently like it much better then the ce4 and 5

Some of these suggestions are already here

Splurge on a bottle of high end special juice to use to reward yourself when you stay inside the limits you set for yourself.
Keep your smokes in a very inconvienent place (locked in the car trunk). Keep your pv withing reach 24/7.
Don't add the stress of self denial to the already stressful situation you're in.
If you must light up then do, but have your pv in the other hand.
Put the cig out as soon as you can. Couple of puffs, half way, whatever, just get what you need and then back to the pv.
Don't guilt over the ones you smoke, pat yourself on the back for the ones you don't or put out part way through.
