so heres my story.

i was/am a smoker of 2.5 years, about a pack to a pack and half a day. picked up an ego kit. the ego helped me for a little bit, then i went back to analog smokes. talked to a buddy of mine, and went and picked up a nemesis clone set up. that helped get me under a pack a day, but wasnt fully satisfied, so i bought a dark horse rda, and this is getting me closer to kicking smokes completely. im currently using a smpl mod with my dark horse. now, im stilling smoking 2or 3 a day, how have you guys gotten over these final few pesky smokes?

I tried quit several years ago using e cigs but I wasn't successful then. This time, on November 18 2014 with a 1.5 pack a day habit for almost forty years$ I put the cigarettes down when I received a vaporizer and juice that I ordered online. The difference? I believe I failed before because the juice was awful and I was trying to duplicate the taste of a cigarette. This time I've only done fruits and sweets and I've spared no expense to get good equipment and good juice. After all, I was spending $55 a week on a carton of cigarettes. Good luck to you.

Welcome and congratulations on giving vaping the effort it deserves.
I too continued smoking 3 or 4 a day for a year or so but knew that
decreasing my cig intake by 90% was good enough for me at that time.
A 40 year habit wasn't as easy for me to break as it was for some folks in these parts.
Everyone is different. Just know you are reducing the harm you used to do to yourself
by 90% and keep on keeping on.

I didn't quit entirely until the doctor told me I had moderate emphysema, that was the last day I smoked even 1 cigarette. I'd been vaping for a little over a year already so it was very. very easy to do.

All the best to you!

Hi racescortjunkie and welcome to the forum!

Yep, those last few are rough. Try weaning them down one/day at a time and don't beat yourself up about it. It's the ones you don't smoke that count. You're already well on your way and still want to completely quit, so you'll get there.

Happy Vaping!

A carton of smokes up here in Canada sets my wife back 87.50 every week to 10 days.
After 3 years my 160.00 Provari seems like a real good deal. Still going strong and use it constantly
every day. Could probably sell it for 80-90 bucks if I wanted but that ain't gonna happen.

thanks guys for the words of encouragement! im just tired of smelling like an ashtray. today was an awesome day at work. work is where i tend to smoke the most, but today i didnt even go out for 1 smoke break!! now if i can just get the smoke on my drive home conquered i should be good!! as of today ihave only had the 1 cig on the way into town, so im almost there! haha

thanks again!

to ecf racescortjunkie. Nice to meet you and so glad you are here. Glad you are giving vaping another go also. There is so much out there now for the new vaper. And it does not all have to be expensive in order to work good for you. You just have to find what makes you happy. I smoked and vaped for a good while and just started cutting down on the number of cigarettes a day. When I got down to one or two, it was awful because I started dreading them because the tasted so nasty. I didn't mean to quit, it just sort of happened and I had no withdrawal, anxiety or anything when I became vaping full time. I sure hope to be reading more about you and your successful vaping. If you find anything that you just don't understand, don't hesitate asking here. Always some wonderful people here to help. Have fun and good luck to you.
