I find these threads hilarious so you wait until your almost out of your go to juice and then whine cuz the little Ma and Pa shop have a life and decide to take a cpl of days off really. Like the sign says "piss poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine "

would be nice if they could email repeat customers to let them know they are shutting down for a while, and your reasoning isn't accurate. i find boba's and gorillas loses flavor after a while, so i like fresh. i don't wait until empty, i wait until about 30 mL left, gives me about 2 weeks worth to get an order in, that should be ample time, just not with AVE

I see it as growing pains and nothing more. He is changing his business model and needs a bit of time. I would love to order more Boba's and GJ as well. I can't vape any juice all day, it loses flavor after a while and tastes muted for me.

I should have ordered some Hype while the other two juices were down, my fault. Never tried it before and would have liked to.

It's a catch 22 when a business takes off. One side the money is great, but other your time is spread thin and quality of life suffers if you don't plan well. I've built websites for a living and it takes time to get a site done. If you're working with a CMS (content management system) it won't take too long. I don't know where he mixes or how he does business but would imagine he and Christie would have to hire new people while guarding some very popular recipes. Doing all this with heart issues and the F-ing FDA hanging over your head is stressful at best.

The reality is they can do business anywhere in the world where it's still legal and ship in discrete packaging. I feel he gets some of his ingredients from China (cause it takes so long to get them lol). and the recipe is simple (his words).

On a positive note they should be stocked up on flavorings and ready to go. Gives people time to try other vendors and perhaps find something special. Try a DIY setup and concoct a delicious recipe that will be just as popular or a new ADV for many.

Best of luck to Ben and Christie, hope you're up soon and better than ever!

people who understand business will only understand and agree that growing pains is what a small business who is growing too fast goes through. growing pains is not a fairy tale it is not a myth it is not science fiction it is as real as it gets. people who are hating and complaining are just stubborn and really need to step back and look at the bigger picture. In the near future I will put down and bet any one of you that Bens plans are going to be so that He doesnt have to close his store once he hits capacity Im sure he has plans to expand to a larger facility to employ more chefs (lets just call the employees who make juice chefs) so that He can keep up with all the demands. Its called growing pains and he is going through it and im sure he is stressed the fug out. and peoples .....ing is not helping the poor man out.

Maybe. Maybe not.

It's a HUGE gamble right now. Invest the $$$$ required to grow the business and meet demand

Or

Wait for a while, risk losing customers and market share, and fix immediate issues so you can again open store until capacity is reached.

Why is this such a gamble? Well, what if you invest all this cash, do all the work, only to find the FDA has banned, or severely hampered, your money maker? What if you can no longer sell it? What if you can sell it but have to jump through so many hoops and increase costs because of taxes, it's no longer a viable product to sell?

What to do.....what to do.....

Sux don't it.... I'm the same way, keep trying all the "highly recommended" all day vapes and favorites from a few other vendors only to have that crap sit in my steeping drawer hoping it magically turns into Boba's....

i have a good 50 other juices sitting here, none of which i can say i could vape all day. i try everything people recommend, but i know what i like, and thats boba's and gorilla, the only 2 i can truely chain vape all day long.

I don't care either way since I have yet to try bobas, ...edited for brevity

Drop me a PM sometime and I'll send ya 6ml sample of 24mg nic bb if ya want. My ecf join date is 'round time I started vaping and I couldn't score bb til feb of this year so I know the feeling.. Ya know come to think of it, I ranted about it and zapped or someone else offered to send me a sample too but I was too paranoid about people knowing my real info so I turned him down. Ah the memories.

Seems like a shame. While this is probably a great recipe, it isn’t rocket science. Someone else will eventually develop something close enough and the days of huge unsatisfied demand for BB may diminish. This is a ‘window of opportunity’ and the cost of shutting off supply for so long is pretty high. The cost of this brewing juice is low and the margins available now may not be there down the road. While some brands seem to keep going forever (Coca-cola, Starbucks, etc), they did it by offering a great product coupled with top notch marketing and customer service. When was the last time one of those shut down? The question for us and AVE isn’t whether there is law or our right to get their product when we want it. The question is whether that is necessary to build a thriving and successful business. I think it is.

For now, I’m just frustrated. I decided to give BB a shot just as the doors closed and all I do is read the posts and wonder what I’m missing. I say this as I spend my vape dollars with several other vendors. I hope I can get a taste of BB soon. If/when I do, I’m sure I’ll love it. However, I doubt that it can live up to the hype (although I hope it comes close).

I feel for AVE owners (Ben and Christy?). I’ve been in the hot seat before with problems, lack of raw materials, software issues, etc. No fun. I hope they get this sorted out soon for their sake as well as my selfish desire to have a taste.

We're working on it ;)

I'd certainly like to track that activity. I'm pretty new to vaping but have been itching to try my hand at DIY. If I were to make this clone before I got my hand's on authentic BB (seems like a real possibility), it would be interesting to see which one won my taste test.

I suspect once we hear what the FDA has in mind there will be a mad rush period of stock clearing demand for everything and anything vape related. Accompanied by some understandable price gouging. Could end being be the last hurrah for the majority of vape vendors. The last chance to dump stock and make a little nest egg to support their next venture.

Would kind of suck if your "strategic corporate planning" left you sidelined during such a period.
