Filter? JUST GOT MY EGO!!!

So I just got my EGO about 3 hours ago and all I can say is WOW!!!!! I LOVE THIS THING!!!! I got 2 things of E-juice with it and I was smoking some of stuff that Janety shipped and the stuff they had in there is producing more vap. I took out one of the carts they shipped with and cleaned out all the juice. Then I put some of my juice in and its not producing as much vapor as the orginal. It tastes better but just not as much. Also I noticed that the filter (sponge) on the inside was making it taste kinda harsh. So any tips on the filter (blue sponge) and why isnt my vapor as thick with the new liquid? It's the sour apple from janity. I am really interested on getting the blue sponge info I would like to order some!!!

vapor production is most likely due to the amount of vg vs pg...did the new liquid you ordered have a ratio stated or did you order all pg?

I think it is all PG but I ordered some VG in the mail the other day.
I am really interested in this blue foam thing though.
I plan on being a dripper, but really whats the alt?
I mean after i used whats in the cart, why not just re-fill it?
Do other people not drip and if so what do they do?

Well it could be something as simple as the ratio of PG/VG in the new juice that you got. Less VG less vapor. Other thoughts some juices just plain wic faster than others and you'll have top them off more frequently to keep that harsh taste out of it. Lastly I don't want to point a finger, but it might be user error in repacking the cart. If put in too densly it won't wic right( less vapor) and will seem empty when you just cleared off the juice from the top and there is more down below. I have tried straw mods and I swear by them. So simple to get going for really no additional cost. Check out MoobyGhost on youtube hes got great easy vids on how to do the straw mod.

Make sure you didn't flood the atty. It will make it taste harsh and not produce good vapor. Take off the cart and blow on the atty to see if juice comes out. If it does it was flooded.
Blue foam works great. Its all I use.

Just blow out the atty - take it off the battery, make sure its cool, put you mouth over the cart end (remove the mouthpiece lol) and blow really hard - make sure the threaded end is in in paper towel or tissue - do NOT grip it tightly or the primer or juice in it wont be able to get out. Keep blowing until nothing comes out.
You can reverse the atty and blow from the threaded end as well if you want (paper towel over the open cart end), just make sure you wipe off the threads first.
Then redrip as needed.

You can get the blue foam from strictlyejuice or you can send me a PM and I can send you some if you would like. You can get a ton of it at Petsmart for like $8 but if you want to try it out first I have some I can spare.

I have an eGo and I drip. The taste and vapor is way way better. I use a Drip Tip from nhaler to simplify the process. Once you blow the primer out of the atty, put about 5-6 drops on the metal "wick" inside.

You can drip without a drip tip. Remove the cartridge, take the filler out put a couple of drops on the metal wick of the atomizer and put the now empty cartridge back on. It takes some practice to know how much juice to keep in the atty but it's not too hard.

The way I do it is I blow out the atty as described above. Then prime with about 5-6 drops. I test to see if the taste is right, sometimes it needs another drop or two. Once it's right I vape until the taste changes, trust me, you'll know. At that point 2 drops does the trick, vape till it changes, repeat. If you flood it, just blow out the atty and try again. If you plug it, blow out the atty, rinse with hot water (or boil for a couple minutes if it's really bad), blow out again and let it dry overnight.

One thing to watch out for if you are using a cart that came with it is that the cart will start to melt on the bottom end (by the atty). That's why I ordered the drip tip, It's doesn't have this problem. And just for reference, the eGo is compatible with 510 parts.
