After 20 years of smoking analogs, I switched to the e-cig 4 days ago, and have completely quit analogs. I love it!

I have to thank the e-cigarette forum, because I took DAYS to pore through all of the advice and opinions, and finally settled on the 510. There is a learning curve, as you can't vape like you would smoke an analog. I'm getting used to it, though. I bought the "desert ship" e-liquid, because it's supposed to taste like camel, but I don't really like it. I'm gonna try Tasty Vapors and TW, and see if I can find a flavor I like. I like the taste of analogs, and I know I'll never find anything identical, but I'll settle for close. I may even try some non-tobacco flavors.

The battery is really the only problem, I go through 3+ batteries in a day, and the PCC I bought doesn't work. I ordered 10 batteries with my 510, just because of advice on battery life-span on this forum.

I am starting to wonder if I am allergic to PG, as my hands have been itching incessantly since the 2nd day. I'll give it a few days, maybe it's just a "gotta get used to it" type thing.

Tasty vapor tobacco would be a good choice if you like baccy flavors. Its very mellow and unlike most tobacco flavors because Geoff actually flavors it with a maceration of steeped tobacco.... Tastyfinger is really good too. It has an earthy choclate taste to it and isn't too sweet.

Congrats on getting off the cancer stix and hope you enjoy your vaping endeavors.

Maybe try some 100% VG juice and see if that helps.

First off, Congrats! Wow, lot's of batts. You might want to consider upgrading to an eGo or a mod. Will last you alot longer. Also, there are chargers which will charge 10 batts at once, might help you. Not sure of the vendor, but one of the forum suppliers or from here Electronic Cigarette Coupon Code Master List - Electronic Cigarette Forum might have it.
Itchy hands? Never had it, but you could always try some VG juice and see if it goes away.
Also, maybe you need to up the nic level of your juice. Might help you to go through batts less often.

Thanks for the welcome, guys. As far as the strength of the juice goes(@LowThudd), I think I should lower the strength, just because I'm vaping more than I ever smoked, just because I can do it in more places. I was in a study group at starbucks for 4 hours yesterday, vaping the whole time, and no one had a problem with it.

I chose 18mg, because I'd usually bounce between camel full flavor and camel lights.

But since I vape more often than I smoke, I was thinking about going to 12mg. I don't want to end up MORE addicted to nicotine just because i switched to a PV!

Oh, here is that charger I was talking about: Joye 510 Mega Charger - $33.99 : Best Electric Cigarette :: Electronic Cigarette

Michael w/ digitalciggz is a great guy, I met up w/ him in NorCal a few weeks ago. Very honest vendor. You might want to get a passthrough from him also. It allows you to power your cig from your computer or other USB outlet. They have them for $9

Edit: It appears hes out of PTs. Sorry.

I didnt really care for tasty vapor at all try StrictlyEjuice.com, Flavor Shop! and FSUSA.

I'll second strictlyejuice. I got some stuff from them because their stuff is pretty cheap and money is tight. I'm swearing by their Pep-oh-mint because it instantly buried my craving for menthol cigs. I plan on trying more brands when $ is more plentiful but I seriously can't complain, I'm very pleased with the flavors so far.

With my first order I got a bunch of different tobacco flavor juices. The Desert ship was one of them. The first time I tried it I thought it was pretty bad. I tried it a couple of weeks later and found it to be pretty good after all. Not like a Camel, but not bad. I guess my taste buds had changed because I've gone through 2 of the bottles already. Hold onto it and try again later.

Call your vendor about the PCC, you might be able to return it if it was DOA. Mine works great. Two batteries and a PCC will last me all day. Rotate the batteries through it so you have a fully charged one all the time.

I agree with Low Thudd, I use my PT more than my batt's. For $13 you can't beat it. No charging worries and it's always running at it's optimum voltage. Makes more vapor than a battery. I just wish it had a longer cord.

I haven't had any problems with PG. Are you getting juice on your hands a lot, or do you think it's an allergy?

Congrat's on quitting analogs and good luck with vaping.

Often the dollar tree has USB extension cords. You might check your local dollar store. Mine works fine from there.

Welcome broncoman. About the mg of the juice. I smoked Winston Lights and started out with 12mg juice. It did not take long before I realized that was not getting it for me so I ordered some 18mg. That was good for all day vaping but I also bought some 24mg to use when I had a really strong urge for a cigarette. Now I find myself using the 18mg during the day then cutting to the 12mg in the evening and the 24mg for those strong urges. Good luck to you.
