First off, if this is the wrong forum for this type of post, I apologize, mods please move to the appropriate forum or inform me of where it should be posted and I will delete and repost :)

Hello there, I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on box mods in the 30w-50w range. The tank I'm giving her to use is my old Smok Micro GDC tank, likely with 1.5-2.2ohm coils. Excluding the cost of buying some new batteries, we're looking to spend ~$50 for a box only.

I've looked at the Sig 30w (found it at a good price on vapesocietysupply.com, anyone done business with them? Any feedback? They have a 15% off code that brings the box down from $40 + shipping to like $34 shipped.) I've heard issues of the Sig 30w having the button getting stuck, is this a big issue? I really want to get her something that isn't going to have issues, as everything else she's gotten has ended up malfunctioning (through no fault of hers, she takes care of what she gets, it was just shoddy manufacturing and/or bad luck/faulty mod. Multiple Ego Twists, an MVP2, VTR, etc)

I steered away from (though haven't completely ruled out) the IStick 30w because of their (apparent) terrible customer service, and the same for the Cloupor 30w (among other issues it seems to have)

Does anyone have any suggestions as well as a place to purchase from that is fairly priced? I've browsed the vendor forum, just a bit nervous about places with no reviews. Is there an off-site website to find unbiased online shop reviews?

A huge point is also quick shipping, as she wants to get this ASAP, the quicker it arrives, the sooner she will finally put down the analogues and join me in the glorious world of analogue-free, flavorful vapors.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

I would go with the Sigelei 30w. I have an IPV Mini, but have used a sig 30w before, both have the same yihi chips in them, the only differences are manufacturing quality. My IPV mini was causing me problems with the internal wiring, reading ohms too low and displaying volts too low - with a .5 ohm Atlantis coil. I pulled my battery and Atlantis from my IPV mini and put them both onto a Sigelei 30w and everything was displayed properly. The chips' subohm limit is .5 ohms, so to have the IPV mini reading .4 ohms and firing doesn't make sense. The Cloupor mini is another choice, but I've seen horror stories of the mod exploding while in pass through mode. I believe they've updated that problem by now however.

The issues with the CP Mini were fixed in their recent batch. However, there is no guarantee that you will not get a faulty one. I've heard nothing but good things about the Sigelei 30W. Is your budget flexible? For $15 more she can get a Vapor Flask clone. The Waidea one works astonishingly well (knock on wood). Honestly, have her to go to a vape shop and fiddle around with a few mods, see what size box she's comfortable with.

Phassat I just watched some recent videos and most reviewers stated that Smok has actually got the TC working with the latest firmware update. It still doesnt work like a M class or DNA40 but most said it was worth it if you didnt want to spend much for your 1st TC mod.

I love my Sig30, havent ever had a problem with the buttons or anything else. I have had to IPV Mini2s and they both work great but have had crooked 510s on both. Makes it unusable to me because i just stare at the gap on the 1 side of the topper.

And many say it still doesn't work, despite this being the third or fourth try for Smok to get it right. If they cut corners there, who knows what other problems might be hiding under the surface. Maybe a bug in the firmware controlling battery charging is faulty as well?

30w hands down Vapor Shark. The DNA 30 is $45. I won't recommend any of the cheap Chinese mods. Way too many issues and at the end of the day there isn't really any savings when you factor in having to replace them frequently. Keep an eye on vapingcheap.com there are deals to be had. I got a Sig. 150w for $64 to my door. The IPV 4 I sold Saturday was $69 to my door from the same vendor.
