First off, if this is the wrong forum for this type of post, I apologize, mods please move to the appropriate forum or inform me of where it should be posted and I will delete and repost :)

Hello there, I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on box mods in the 30w-50w range. The tank I'm giving her to use is my old smok Micro GDC tank, likely with 1.5-2.2ohm coils. Excluding the cost of buying some new batteries, we're looking to spend ~$50 for a box only.

I've looked at the Sig 30w (found it at a good price on vapesocietysupply.com, anyone done business with them? Any feedback? They have a 15% off code that brings the box down from $40 + shipping to like $34 shipped.) I've heard issues of the Sig 30w having the button getting stuck, is this a big issue? I really want to get her something that isn't going to have issues, as everything else she's gotten has ended up malfunctioning (through no fault of hers, she takes care of what she gets, it was just shoddy manufacturing and/or bad luck/faulty mod. Multiple Ego Twists, an MVP2, VTR, etc)

I steered away from (though haven't completely ruled out) the IStick 30w because of their (apparent) terrible customer service, and the same for the Cloupor 30w (among other issues it seems to have)

Does anyone have any suggestions as well as a place to purchase from that is fairly priced? I've browsed the vendor forum, just a bit nervous about places with no reviews. Is there an off-site website to find unbiased online shop reviews?

A huge point is also quick shipping, as she wants to get this ASAP, the quicker it arrives, the sooner she will finally put down the analogues and join me in the glorious world of analogue-free, flavorful vapors.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

I havent seen anyone here complain about stuck buttons on a Sigelei Mini. A couple of us that bought the first run of them had a problem with the threads stripping due to the 510 pin being too high, but not all of them were like that, and the second one I bought a couple months later is fine. With the exception of that, both of mine work perfectly. I still have one atty that fits on the stripped one and it still fires perfectly fine.

If youre in San Diego, grab one from Vapor Range. Its $31.95 with free shipping. Theyre in Gardena so it will probably only take a couple days to get to you at most. If you really want it fast you could always take a trip up there and pick it up in person.

Im kinda shocked shes had problems with an MVP2. That was my second mod (still in perfect working condition too) and you have to really try to kill those things.

As roxynoodle mentioned...

The Vaporshark DNA30 is a good unit that puts out 30w. Vaporshark lowered their price to $45 and the unit has a real DNA30 chip.

Read the reviews and check it out...

I've had a 30w iStick in constant use for a couple months now... no problems whatsoever. I love it, it's so small, fits my hand perfectly, and if you put a really tiny RDA on it (like a derringer for instance), it would also make a great stealth mod. I also like that you can alter the wattage by .1 increments -- that's great; I always found 10.5w just a bit much, but sometimes 10w just isn't quite enough; the iStick's ability to do 10.2w is awesome!

Don't get a a 50w iStick whatever you do; those are the ones with problems, and though I've seen some say that the problem is now fixed, that doesn't help all the faulty stock that's still out in the stores/online shops. MtBakerVapor has the best price on the full kit pkg for the iStick30's.

I just got a CoolFire IV; 40w, just a little larger; it doesn't have the .1 increments on watts though. VaporBeast has them for $34.19 if you use one of their 10% off coupons. Haven't used it much yet, but it seems like quite a nice mod.

Either one of the newer MVPs, or, the slightly sexy CoolFire IV - has a lanyard hook if she likes, simple, robust, long life and battery life (day+), vape while charging, and all the safety bells. Reviews are in, everyone loves it.

I bought then gave away the one istick I bought. I have never had an issue with any MVP I have owned (since 2013) and have bought every model. MVP is what sealed the deal with not smoking - I hate carrying lots of 'spares', and if my vape (whatever) died, I'd go buy smokes til I got home. With the MVP that stopped.

Just my opinion...

I have to concur with the VS DNA30...$45 is a steal! I paid $120 for mine around last Thanksgiving and they have been updated since then with the nicer coating that comes on the rDNA40.

They have a better finish now? How's the battery life with the 1200mah? For $45 I may have to get one myself. I've paid more than that for some clones.

Yes, the finish is now like the slightly rubberized rDNA40. With moderate vaping I can get the better part of the work day out of the DNA30...chain vaping I get about 2-3 hours.
