So I decided to get the Le Petit Gros with the Hobo V2, they go great together. But I have one complaint - it's copper and looks kinda ugly to me. How can I change the coppers appearance? Patina? Aging? Shining? What would you suggest.
What don't you like about the copper? That sort of determines what you might want to do. I personally think my copper mod looks super spiffy freshly-polished, but alas, it's back to being dull after only a day. Maybe one day I'll seal it, one day...
I also recommend carbon fiber wrapping it. I like this method because it doesn't do any permanent changes like a patina or clear coat lacquer would.
Here's a pic of 2 mods I carbon fiber wrapped a few months ago. The wrap I use is very durable and hasn't began to peel even after months of daily use. I bought the carbon fiber from a local auto parts store.
A friend w/ a Provari classic used on of those (krylon, i think) marbling kits on his after it got a huge scratch raked along it. It looks kick azz, black marbling with gold veins. Ive seen the rubbery do it your self truck bed liner used also. Im interested in hydrographic applications too, chrome blue diamond plate anyone?
