My carto's for my Smokeless Image starter kit came in today, so i just had my first "vape" almost 2hrs ago. And i must say, WOW! I brought them straight to work after i checked the mailbox, pulled out the Cowboy flavor, and let out a big cough LOL It tastes great, but it's quite strong. I got the 18mg sampler pack, though it feels more like i'm hitting Marlboro Red's strength-wise. I went out on break and was only able to hit it 4 times on break, it's just very strong. I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors when i get home and have the wife to sample with me. I've always smoked Marlboro Lights, and i thought 18mg would've been near the same, but i think i may need to drop down to 12mg. The Rye4 is smelling awesome though, not sure if i can wait till end of day for that one ;) Also, i'm not sure if it's just a coincidence or not, but i seem to have a bit of congestion going on after i hit it a bit.

Shout out to Smokeless Image, awesome product and great service thus far!

On the edge of insanity..
I really like TVR's New RY4. I was a Marlboro light smoker myself and 12mg seems to suite me really well. Vapes really nice! Yeah, I had a bit of a problem with PG when I first started vaping too. Problem is, it never got better for me. :( I had to end up switching to 100% VG and cutting my juice with distilled water to get a less thick consistency for my tanks cause I'm a pretty bad chain vaper. Too many dry hits with the thick VG, I was destroying cartos.

Anywho...congrats and keep on vapin!

So if it was a lower nic level, it would still be strong just 'cause my lungs aren't used to the vapor itself, correct?

If you lower the nic level you will also diminish the throat hit. It does sound like you should try a lower nic juice. Also, when inhaling, don't inhale straight into your lungs, instead inhale into your mouth first and then into the lungs. And don't forget to drink more water.

Good Luck....

Just saying you've barely started so don't be too quick to start ordering different stuff ... 18mg is pretty medium so I would think someone fresh off of analogs would be able to handle it. As was mentioned, make some adjustments to your puffing style ... like taking the vapor into your mouth first before inhaling. Nicotine absorbtion is different with vapor, its more in the mouth and throat than in the lungs so you could probably back off a bit on the inhaling until you get more used to it.

Thanks for the tips! I'm actually drawing it into my mouth prior to my lungs, same as i would a normal cigarette. I think it'd be a bit worse if i went straight to the lungs with it. But it's working, i haven't had a cig since lunch today right before i opened the carto's. I'm getting used to the TH somewhat, but i still think i'd prefer a 12mg nic level and possibly a 6mg level for laying in the bed at night typing on the laptop (like now). My wife is impressed that it's working so well for me, and says she may try it tomorrow and see if she can go all day without an analog too. Thumbs up SI and PV's! LOL

It is gonna take some getting used to, but i think i can hack it. Pretty much going through all the symptoms i've read that new vapors may experience (chest tight, throat scratchy, headache). I have to keep reminding myself to drink water, and not Corona ;)
