Worst burned carto, anything to worry about

Hi guys,
I was vaping away this morning and I did a battery change. After this my Smokeless Image carto wouldn't draw, so I adjusted the posts for a bit then it drew and it was fine. I had to adjust the carto down then up. But then the second draw got a huge boost and the worst chemical taste I ever had hit the back of my throat. I coughed and almost chucked up. Only a little bit hit the lung but how bad is that? I can't shake this chemical taste and the back of the throats a bit clogged with what ever the body produced to counter that chemical. Anything to worry about?

sounds like you burned the carto.Was it dry?If you burned it ,ya mights well toss it,as you will never get that taste out of it.

I disagree.

I've not been vaping a long time but I've discovered that when I dry-burn a carto I can sometimes bring it back by flooding it with new juice. If that doesn't work then a good alcohol bath will clean the burnt taste out pretty well.

Of course, cartos aren't really all that expensive so it might not even be worth your time and hassle. I personally just can't stand to toss anything out if it's still functioning.

When you Smoked, did you ever Light a Cigarette on the Wrong End and then got a "Filter Hit"?

That's about what happens when a Filler Type Carto's Filler Burns.

I was thinking of atomizers and not cartomizers. I have only used atties and they will clean up like new after developing the burn taste.

The word "Carto" used to mean a "Filler Type Cartomizer. Now it seems that it is used more to discribe a Filler-Less Cartomizer.

I left my P+ 18500 in my pocket today and forgot to lock it and completely destroyed a carto miser, and nearly burnt myself at the the same time Lol!

Like I said, I'm pretty new to this whole world and it can be quite overwhelming at times. I get terms like cartridge, cartomizer, clearomizer and atomizer all confused and jumbled together. I haven't even tried any cartomizers yet with my setup...just been using atomizers and cartridges. I just purchased a Vivi Nova the other day and looking forward to trying it out, although I'm not sure if that's what you would call a carto, atty or whatever.

Another term I keep seeing around is "bottom feeder"....I have no idea what that is. The only bottom feeders I'm familiar with are Carp and Catfish, LOL.

anyway, sorry again for the bad info earlier. I don't mean to steer anyone wrong, but would like to help where and when I can.

A Bottom Feeder is a Mod that has a Plastic Bottle of e-Liquid built into it. When you Squeeze (Skwonk) the e-Liquid Bottle, it pumps e-Liquid into the Bottom of an Atomizer. Kinda like Dripping in reverse.

Yeah...

I tried Dripping, a Big PITA if you ask me. Tried a "Feeded System". Worked ok, just not for me.

Just I'm just Happy in my CE2 rut.
