Finally joining the party!!

I finally took the step to register on this wonderful site!! I have used this site to answer so many questions over the past 2 months, and I felt it was time to join.

I was a 1-1.5 pad smoker for 16 years. I am 7 short months away from being a RN. I decided last summer that I was tired of smoking, but I didn't know the best way to quit. I ran across an internet ad for the e-cigarette, I researched some options, and took the plunge.

I have not smoked an analog since Aug. 22, 2010. I am purely a vaper only!! I have tried to quit several times before, and I never made it more than 6 hours without an analog. So, as of today, I am on day 57 of no smoking. I have never felt better!!

I decided to go with the cartomizer option to start off with. I figured simple was better given my hectic schedule. I ordered from v2cigs.com. I have been absolutely thrilled with them! The only drawback is they tend to get backordered quite a bit, and I have waited up to 2 weeks for an order to arrive. grrrr! Thankfully, I am type A and always re-order before my stash reaches a critical low. They are still my primary vendor, I love the cherry medium 12mg cartos. They are yummy!

I have decided to branch out. I ordered from V4L a few weeks ago. LOVE the manual batteries, HATE the flavor of their cartos. So, back to the drawing board. I decided to go totally crazy and DIY mix my e-juice. I placed an order with DIY for the nic juice, PG, and 6 different flavors. My order shipped today, so I will be playing "chemist" this weekend mixing my very own juices!

Anyways, thats my story--I love this forum. I may be newly registered, but I have used a wealth of knowledge from this site as I embarked on my new vaping journey. I am very glad to join a wonderful group of vapers.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yep, I am hoping that my success with vaping can be spread to some of my patients. I am actively trying to convert two other girls in my class that smoke. One of them was a huge clove fan until they banned them. I keep telling her they have nic juice for cloves......I am such a corrupter!!

cathie--I have not tried strawberry yet....but I did order the strawberry flavor from Lorann with my DIY kit. I am really excited to try it out. I have estimated my new goodies should be here Thursday, so I will be USPS stalking until then! lol

I will definitely let you all know how my DIY mixing goes this weekend. I washed my cartos yesterday, I have back-ups in case this is a huge epic fail for me lol, but I am optimistic that mixing my own juice will open so many doors for creative flavors.

Man, why didn't I discover vaping sooner!

V2Cig looks like a 4081, as far as I can tell, FYI.

I take that back... got the bigger picture... i think it is likely a KR808D-1. Not sure.

it is best to figure out what model you have as then you have a variety of options to order supplies from... and why I was looking.

Let me look into this a bit further for you...

Edit: I couldn't find anything definitive. It would not shock me that it is an M401. I think that is most likely...

Thanks TheBuss-- I was not entirely sure either which batt V2cigs has. I was assuming 808D-1 since the D-1 cartos from V4L fit it perfectly. I have never heard of the M401. Where could I find a pic of that? I ordered the D-1 from V4L and really really like it. Plus my newly washed up cartos from V2cig fit it perfectly so I have plenty of battery power for my big DIY liquid adventure!

Thanks for researching this stuff. This is just one of the many reasons I really really like this place. Everyone is so helpful! I knew absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing, about ecigs prior to visiting this forum.

Ok, well, then it is almost certainly a 808. i thought maybe, but the M401 looks similar as well, and many "retailers" like to sell that model.
