After using the EVIC for about a year and a half, dropped countless times broken and replaced control heads etc, etc. I finally saved enough money to join the Provari bandwagon. I went to a local vape shop and got the black and red hybrid provari (which looks beautiful) as well as a Nitecore charger and 2 batteries. I paid $232 for everything. At first the price came up as like $242 but the guy at the shop gave me a discount. I kinda felt like that was overpriced though because on the Provape website the same one I bought with charger 2 batteries AND a Protank II is only $232 with free shipping so im kinda mad that I didnt get a Protank with mine. Oh well I have loads of nova heads I need to use up anyways. Just thought id share with everyone that I joined the Provari exclusive club and its a beautiful piece of equiptment for sure, definately looks like it could take a few hard drops on the floor and be fine unlike my evic

Congratulations, pretty sure you'll enjoy your new ProVari! As far as the Protank 2 goes, I'm not very impressed with mine - leaks all the time. I've about had it with that tank! They seem to be pretty hit-and-miss, based on what I've read here, and my own experience. You did okay - just paid a little to have it now instead of a few days from now.

I already love it. Just the feel of it is soo nice, good weight to it and although was hesitant of the one button at first, ive been using it about an hour and I already got it down so its very intuitive. I have heard a few people say the same thing about the Protank so im not to upset I didnt get it. And yeah you are right instead of waiting for shipping and handling it was very convenient to walk in and buy one especially considering their is very limited amount of dealers who sell them besides Provape.com. All in all I love it and very satisfied with it!

I was looking at the ProVari myself, but unsure if it would be better than the eVic...or should I say, worth it.. Then my eVic crapped the bed on me this week, and decision made. I have a ProVari on the way. Believe me, if there was a local shop selling them near me, I would have gladly paid an extra $20 to have one now...the wait is killing me! Congrats on the new purchase.

They work as well as with any other device. Some people use an Aerotank base with the Protank 2 to get a more airy draw but I use it alone and don't have any issues.

Im tempted to get a Provari mini, but I think I remember reading somewhere that some toppers don't work well with it. I use EVODs (I know a 510 to eGo adaptor is required), Protank IIs, Protank II minis, and iClear 30s.

Do all of those work well with the Provari?

It has a pretty shallow base where the 510 connection is. Definately alot more shallow then say the evic. I use a mini vivi nova though and it works perfect. I actually like a kind of harder draw not hard per say but a somewhat tight draw but still airy enough to get a good drag and the nova on the provari seems to be the perfect draw as far as airy and tight draws go
