I have finally got a setup I am happy with. I had a Protank 2 mini with EVOD battery and then upgraded to a VV battery and started coiling my own protank heads, all of these were improvements but the flavour and vapour was inconsistant.... So around 2 months later I just got my Vamo V5 SS from fasttech and my IGO-W dripper. Connected them up and just great.... Perfect hit every time, almost too much flavour! I need to make my liquids weaker now because of the massive flavour on the IGO-W! This is with a quick single coil setup so dual cotton microcoil's should be even better! Vamo V5 + Igo-W cost me £32 in total (not including batteries and charger) what a bargain!

It's always good to find something that produces the vape you want. Bigger batteries and variable mods give you more flexibility.

I do not think I will even need to use dual coil in this IGO-W, single microcoil with cotton already produces massive amounts of vapour and the airflow is perfect with a single coil. I guess that dual coil would be more vapour and less airflow.

I already had a VV battery but for some reason the Vamo in RMS mode just works better at the same volts/watts. All of my DIY Eliquids are now too strong!

Behold the magic of dripping. I just picked up a Trident not that long ago, and all of my tanks have taken a back seat...I actually haven't built a coil in my Protank heads for over a month now. As for the Vamo being better...chances are you are experiencing a good, clean, true power delivery signal for the first time, and that makes a lot of difference. No bull.... of battery lag as the charge diminishes, no variations in the actual delivery voltage, just a true clean signal where 3.7 really is 3.7.

Grats on the new gear. If you want to have even more fun, pick up a Trident clone and mess with it, I love both the clone and genuine device. The airflow selection is the winner for me, and at less than $20, it's hard to go wrong. I am also hearing tell of the Trident V2 clone being out now, as well as some good Atomic clones, so I may be doing some spending soon myself.

Yes now I got a dripper, I can see why people mod them, well I was satisfied for a few hours anyway, haha, luckily I have 2 different drippers here and one has perfect airflow for me, the IGO-W is too hot / harsh for me and it needs the airholes enlarged but I do not have the tools.

I also found the IGO-W air-holes to be a little to tight. I played with mine for a while and finally opened up the air-holes to 1/16th inch. Wasn't sure I had done the right thing, but it definitely cooled down and decreased the harshness of the vape and increased vapor. I then saw a couple aftermarket caps for the IGO and noticed they were all made with 1/16th air-holes. Seems that maybe that might be the favored size for the IGO. I at least prefer mine now to the original size.

Vamo V5 7.5w, UD dripper, cotton microcoil.... Not sure how it can get much better than that tbh other than aesthetics.... Although this looks pretty damn sweet tbh, except for the stupid gap on Vamo. Any more vapour and I would choke, any more flavour and it would be too much!

I tried my IGO-W the other day for the first time, too - I started with a single 1.6ohm coil, too. One thing I found out immediately is that 24mg is WAY too much for this little guy! I need to get some of my favorite flavors in 6 or 12 now.

Thought life was good. now i hear you talking about this and i think,,,, hummmmm. i am scared to try it because if i like it i will have to start over. I had a mini protank, if I was using it outside then I would use that, its a good little tank, but when at home the dripper is a big step up from the protank. My problem now is that sometimes there is too much flavour / vapour and I will need to dilute my eliquids! I have no urge to upgrade again now because I seriously would not want any more vapour or flavour from it, which is the opposite to the protank where I was always trying to get more flavour out of it. If you get a dripper with a decent sized well / lip on it then you do not have to refill it that much because it will hold about 0.5ml liquid, if you already recoil your own protank heads then I suggest you buy a UD IGO-W4 or AGI dripper now! Its easier / less fiddly to build with cotton than the protank heads and they only cost £15-25. It is a bit warm compared to the protank though, I am hoping that a new drip tip will sort that out.

Get an airflow controller for the pro tank... Chocking up on the airflow improves the flavor quite a bit.

I'm not home enough to get any real use off of one.. Easier to use a tank. I have a Davide mini and a couple of Hypertanks that work very well, so I'm happy!
