finally saw another person in the non-digital world vaping. unfortunately it was a smoking-everywhere kiosk guy in the San Antonio rivercenter mall. But it was cool, I showed him my cybervex 5v boxmod, I told him I got it for $40 online compared to his $139
he asked me what I was vaping in it, I showed him my Rath's French Toast 24mg from litecig, he seemed shocked and said "wow thats some really strong stuff your vaping". I said really? because they have 36mg juices even 48, I said the 18 and 11mg and under stuff wasn't strong enough for me. It had my girlfriend questioning me about 'Is he right? why are you using such strong liquid?" etc. that I had to defend
anyway I got out of there before I had to hear a sales pitch but I said it was nice to see another vaper and good luck with your business. I didn't bring up any of the negative things I've read about the S.E. company, as this one man at one kiosk is probably just trying to earn a living and its likely the corporate folks higher up pulling shady stunts, I don't know

I had to laugh ...... I would say these guys are definatly not ECF members .

If they were ECF members and still sold their e-cigs at those prices, I doubt they would sleep much at night and probably would be vaping 48mg juice 24/7 just to deal with stressing from all that guilt! :p

not knowing how duck and look around...or look around and duck...

valhalla1,
imo, the low mg levels of factory carts is on the right track. that some of us use stronger mg nicotine e-liquids has more about us not wanting to quit smoking.
my story is wanting to quit because 'smoking' was hurting me, in real time. and brain dependece was not helping me.

the factory carts i started with, worked. and it was feeling better, that i went to higher strength e-liquids, for the most part to get that buzz.
and after a year and 2 months 3 days that i get away with TV`s atmoic fireball at 0mg, 70/30 pg/vg e-liquid. YES, i still use 36mg, 24mg, 18mg e-liquid, and it seems like i`ll get a nicotine free vape soon than later.

and yeah, the third PV user i met, was using an SE e-cig, and he was a little unhappy with it, i had my SD 901 and a verses 510, told him about this place.

the thread "are we getting it or not" started by the banned trog is some good info. and the other one with exo, and kina, and all the hard science guysngirls
i`m feeling that of course, in the future of vaping, PVs will be a medical proscribed way of quiting. BT and BP hold on us and our wallets, will change to a BIGe-cig-e-juice company will have that hold on (me) those of us that use PVs as a full time tabocco cigarette replacement.

i wish i knew what the sam hill i was talking about.

I had been looking at PVs for the past year or so and it wasn't until a ran in to a guy on the University of Houston campus who had one that I decided to get one. He had run out of juice and asked for one of my American Spirits and he told me about electroniccigarettesofhouston. Now I'm just trying to convince my friends to start.

I searched one out one day for $%^&s and giggles. I had heard rumor that there was a kiosk in the rapid city mall in south dakota. So, when I was in Rapid City one day, I asked around and found the guy. I asked about prices and asked about atomizers. I then continued to ask about how long his atomizers lasted and how long the cartridge lasted, etc. All I got were lies in between his tiny little wisps of vapor. It was a gamucci stand. I SOOOO wished I had even ONE of my pvs with me at the time. So, anyways, we said he was out of our price range...he said they have the whole warranty...I told him no thanks I have a whole tackle box full of items that collectively cost less than his pricey unit. He snickered and said, "there is no reason you should need a whole box full of stuff, you should just have two batteries, one atomizer, and a box of cartridges...they'll last for forever." I found it amusing the guy was going to try and pull the wool over the eyes of a person who has been vaping a year and is secure in knowing that we have enough supplies at home to last us a decent amount of time. We also asked him if they had the penstyles...he says "what?" The commercial on his little TV showed a penstyle 801, but he says "that's the old style, they are better and smaller now!" Ok, so anyways, this was all in fun for me...but it sucks that he's ripping people off. But hey, he did give me a card and offer me a tiny discount. ROFLMAO! There is no way that guy was making any money selling those because he barely could get it to run! I could have made him disappear in a cloud of vape...he couldn't even make a pencil dot disappear (even if i gave him a half hour). Ok, rant over. I got a good laugh out of the day though!

lol pbtaylor! That guy sure was upbeat...and sure was good about trying to sell a lie to somebody who knows WAY more than him about it! He said his dad quit using them and he has had the same atomizer for a whole year! I wondered to myself...does it actually still work!?!?!?!? And of course, I was fed that same line about why buy chinese it's so dangerous...and I'm thinking...um...yeah...where do you think your crap came from!?!?!?!? Hmmm...looks just like a 103 that I bought for less than $30! ROFL! But, on the bright side, as I said, he was super nice and upbeat! And he sure had a lot of cartridges in stock! Too bad I tried to find him again a few weeks ago while wondering the mall waiting on tires...and he wasn't there, he was having the lady in the kiosk next to him tending to his kiosk...and she didn't know anything! My hubbies batteries died on his altoid box and we were trying to decide whether buying a 9volt on the fly would be cheaper than just getting one of their throw-aways. Once I realized that the atomizer was sealed I said never mind! I figured if it wasn't sealed, or if it was similar to a carto, we could take it home and still use it, and it would be cheaper than buying the 9volt...but we just bought a pack of 9 volts instead, put them in the car for another such emergency (yes, I know, it's weird, 9volts are readily available and we got some bad atomizers last year that refuse to vape at anything less than 9 volts...so we made due with the materials we had on hand).

BTW, glad to see other vapers in our "area"! :)

I was able to convert one of my coworkers, so I know another person that vapes now. It's also kind of nice too, because we have already put in an order together at TV. He got 2 and I got 2, and we can try each other's choices.

Here in Albuquerque we recently got a kiosk at the mall for e-cigs. Didn't really look like anything I've seen so far. I stopped by out of curiosity to see how they compare to our little community here, and I was VERY disappointed. Very cheap-looking ecig that they want an arm and a leg for that looks like some toy you would get out of a bubble gum machine. They had little bottles of weak-looking juice and was interested in them as a dire emergency backup. Couldn't tell the size of the bottle (I'm really bad at guessing sizes of anything), so I asked and nobody could give me an answer. One employee finally chirped up and said "18mg". Uh, that's the strength of the nicotine, not the size of the actual bottle! That was enough for me....

I bought my first e-cig at a smoking everywhere kiosk, an SE gold for a hundred bucks but hey,... it got me off regular smokes and got me started on my vaping journey so I'm happy for that.

I saw a guy and his wife at a local indoor flea market selling 510 kits. I had to commend the guy because he was selling kits for $45.00 and they came with 2 batteries, 2 ATOMIZERS, a 5 pack of carts and a charger. Not a bad deal really. I told him what he was doing was a great service for people and praised him for not ripping people off. Even though you may be able to get them cheaper online, the ability to buy them on the spot for $45.00 is really good service.

I even helped him sell a couple by demonstrating my e-cig I had with me and answering some customers questions. I showed him one of my battery mod prototypes I came up with and was using at the time and said he, "Jeeze, you should be able to smoke a week on that" :)

I wish there were more like him out there selling in the brick and mortar world.

This is what I would like to start doing. I have an idea and I have not seen any of the other local companies doing this. I figured I send alot of business to them, why can't I just do the same thing! I think 45.00 is reasonable to buy on the spot as well. My husband was totally ripped off buying a 901 kit with extra atty for 95.00! If we knew then what we know now...

Lucky. There aren't any vendors in my local malls but when I find one...*maniacally laughs*

Have your fun, but I have to ask....

Does any kiosk in a mall sell things at a price that is comparable to what you could find if you simply searched on the internet?

I agree in that this is such a helpful thing that people should do everything in their power to spread the word (but make a *reasonable* profit), but people are people, and all some see are $$$.

One other thought is, I have no idea what it costs to 'rent' kiosks/kiosk space, but I would imagine that overhead will be reflected in the price, and is likely much higher than monthly website/bandwidth fees..

I got a bunch of my friends hooked on e-cigs just so I would have someone to vape with.

Just kidding I kinda wanted them to get lucky like me and quit a 25 year addiction.

But you know hey, it is an added bonus to have my friends vaping too.

I agree! I turned some of my friends on to it. And an added bonus: We can try eachother's juice flavors!
