You can really dial in your flavor with the VV Twist. As you probably know, the ohm's on whatever you're using can vary a bit. It might be a 2.4ohm atty but it's actually functioning as, say, 2.0 or 2.8. With the Twist you can dial it up or down to get it just right for your taste. I have nothing but variable volt and can't imagine not being able to adjust to my taste.

So why do I care about the twist compared to a regular Ego? I'm looking to maybe move to a new 510 bat if I like the vivi/mini. Is it just nice to be able to control the voltage? Seems more expensive and more stuff to break than just getting a bat and vaping... Tell me what I'm missing about the twist--I see people liking them a lot...

When I switched from my SI Volt I bought a pair of 1000mah Twist for $22ea, I haven't seen another similarly priced VV mod and still seems like the best bang for your buck to me.

No, but you might screw up your vivi if it doesn't keep wicking properly.

I use CE-3 bottom coils that are 2.4-2.6 and I run them around 4 to 4.2 using 100% VG. That is my sweet spot. Things get tasting a bit funky above 4.2 to me. It will depend on your tastes and your juice what is best for you.

I skipped the vivi after trying other top coil cleros and not getting good wicking with my juice, so again, YMMV.

In general I would stay away from the LR vivi heads or dual coil carto tanks. Using LR you won't get to use it above the voltage of a regular eGo, and dual coil will run your battery down quickly.

I just received my new Vivi Nova V2.5 and it's a good unit. Gives good vapor and pretty good flavor production. I absolutely love how easy it is to fill. The only thing I wish they would add to this unit is the cone for the bottom, so that it looks halfway decent on my twist.

Other than that, it's a thumbs up for the Vivi Nova!

I do believe that my Apollo does give better flavor in my opinion, but the Apollo always feels like I'm sucking a golf ball through a garden hose, but flavor is amazing. If they could fix that issue, it would be my favorite tank.

For what it's worth,

Try a 510-510 adapter to raise the VN up from the Apollo top.through a garden hose, but flavor is amazing. If they could fix that issue, it would be my favorite tank.

For what it's worth,

Get a 510-510 extender to raise the VN off the top of the PV.

Actually, I'm using LR Boge 2.0s with my carto tank, and there is a much greater difference in output between the eGo-C Twist and regular eGo batteries. 2.0 ohms is about the lowest resistance you can use to really utilize the full potential of your VV battery at 4.8v, though. Some say 2.2 is the exact sweet spot for the Twist.

Glad to hear. I'll have to try one of those VV batteries since i bought 5 Stardusts lol ... dammit ...
Hey don't feel bad bc I had an ego 3.7 batt and had the SAME issues! It's DEFINITELY the batt...I recently got my ego twist and it opens up a whole new world!!! Set the proper voltage and my VG juices have never been tastier! HIGHLY recommend the ego twist my friend....

Yeah, that's why I said YMMV and it depends on your taste.

I don't think there is any one sweet spot for everyone or a single perfect juice delivery system.

I don't use cartos, tanks, nothing other than CE3's at the moment and I don't like my VG juice tasting burnt or running my battery down quickly.

As long as you are enjoying your twist/carto tank/juice combo that's all that matters.

I agree completely. "YMMV" is a huge theme of vaping, given the endless number of juice/battery/attomizer combinations out there.

Out of curiosity, how well are those CE3s treating you will pure VG? I've been meaning to try them, but I'm not sure if the cost is worth it if my VG will kill it in a couple days.

Well I like them enough that I don't use anything else. For me they have the best taste of everything I've tried so far.

They are best on the first fill, but I've pulled them apart and soaked them in vodka overnight, did a pulsed dry burn and put them all back together and didn't loose a one. They don't taste as good as new, but work in a pinch. I need to learn how to re-wick them and I think they would be good as new.

I do have a DID coming to try out, I am expecting to enjoy that once I get it set-up and tuned to my liking. In the meantime I'll stick with the CE3's.

Let me try this again...

What's a DID?
