I WAS (<----love being able to say that now) a smoker for roughly 20 years and thanks to a recent trip to paradise, aka North Shore, Oahu, Hawai'i and a promise to my GF to not smoke while we were there, I've been vapin' for about 5 weeks now. I've been coffin nail free for 29 days and counting. Its kind of a trip cause I never thought I'd quit. My first purchase, cause I had no idea how big this industry was and what was available, was a G1 pen. 2 days into the trip, I kept hearing radio spots for local vape shops promoting the new gear and juices they had. (It really is awesome to hear how hardcore the Hawaiian community is rallying around vapin' to get people to quit smoking) In all honesty, my dissatisfaction with the G1 + hearing these commercials over and over again, I had to check one of them out and I purchased my first VV PV....Lava Tube v1.
Got back to the mainland, found some local vape shops in the 818, went and checked em out and purchased an eVic, a couple ProTank II's, some eLiq juice and then made the mistake of discovering this site.:p This place really is information overload, but its a good thing. Reading and reading aaaaand more reading about everyones experiences, opinions, feedback and help with other members questions is really refreshing to see.

Let's be honest here, this vape movement is by far, the most subjective "thing" I've ever seen or been a part of...and I think thats what makes it so great. Everyone's different from their needs, their experiences, setups, etc, etc. Taking all of it in has been overwhelming but it has also been a great educational piece of reading material.

Sorry about the long winded intro, just happy to be here and that I found this site... I just wish I would've discovered this site before I purchased the LT v1 :glare: hahaaa.

What a great introduction! I have heard that Hawaii is very proactive in encouraging vaping. If only the rest of the world followed their example! Have you found your ADV yet? I too use an eVic and quite like it.

Best of luck!

Welcome!! I am a newb too. SO I have no good input yet. I am just lurking around, reading, and learning too. The amount of info here is phenomenal, and everyone is super nice and extremely helpful. Congrats on your choice to lay the stinkies down & +1 gf the gf who persuaded you to!!

I think you have made a great choice. Good luck on your journey!!

@ Pavlov: I'm with you on that!!!

@ceedless: glad to have you on board, and I know how you feel about info overload...look at me, started about 3 month ago on a Vamo 2, purchased a couple of Evod/Ego sticks...now I got an Innokin SVD and SmokTech S.I.D. on the way....not scared to buy devices online, but with the juices I still rather go local...since most of them I can try...I think my next step is to DIY juice.

Welcome and keep up the good vape :)rickroll: ..oh, I crack myself up)

Thanks Pavlov! It really is amazing what they're doing over there.... I was jammin' the local reggae radio stations while driving around the island and the local shops that create radio spots are getting a lot of air play. I saw so many locals with mechanicals, provari's, etc, etc, I had to dig deeper into this vape thing to see what it could do for my need to kick that habit...so glad I did.
As far as my ADV, I don't know if I can provide an honest answer... Thanks to this site and the communities voices on juice, I've discovered tons of juice I wanna try and I've made a few purchases from MBV, Fuzion and vapalicious. I've got Orangezilla, Ectoplasm and Unicorn Blood currently steeping...Cinnamon Roll, Caramel Apple and Butterscotch have been steeping and I've dabbled with a couple of em. Thankfully, a local shop is setup like a bar so I stopped in and tried a bunch of the eLiq line. I really liked the Pink Starburst and Yummy Gummy so I snatched up a bottle of each.
Now that I'm moving into the carto world, I picked up 2 of the XL tanks from IBTanked and I currently have the Pink Starburst in one and the MBV Cinnamon Roll in the other.... cant complain about either one.

It sounds like your are well on your way! It is so hard to find that perfect juice because as you said everything is so subjective.
