Finally tried plain Ethyl Maltol, TFA Cotton Candy and TFA Circus Cotton Candy at 10% back to back to back

The difference in flavor was not subtle.


The EM only had a hint of sweetness and cotton candy flavor, but a lot of body and a sort of thickness to it.
The TFA Cotton Candy was like the candy flavor in EM turned up to 11, noticeably more complex and tasted a lot like actual cotton candy.
The TFA Circus Cotton Candy was honestly awful. I'm not really sure how to describe it, plastic sweeten condensed milk? I tried Capella Vanilla Cupcake at 20% once before and it was a similar sort of awful.


Has anyone else tried these flavors by themselves? What did you think?

I've only used TFA Cotton Candy, Mercy404, but I'd like to thank you for the post. I've been wondering if I'm missing something not getting Circus Cotton Candy, but it looks like probably "no."

That sounds about right if your trying to make cotton candy. If your trying to sweeten a mix I would use plain sweetener. That much EM will mute your primary flavor.

i'll second on how awful "circus cotton candy" is, just awful nasty stuff!!!!

Bad, Bad, Bad case of not knowing what strength to use the flavoring.

Awful generally=Way TO Much

I do Strawberry Ice Cream and like it Sweet. Last batch I added a Few extra drops of Sweetener. Batch is Vapeable but in no way the enjoyable mix I've been making. Has a sort of medicine taste.
Is my brand of Sweetener no good? Hardly, there was simply to much of that chemical in the mix. My Taste buds highly objected.

Try your Circus at 5-6% MAX, maybe lower.

EM and Cotton Candy, I use these interchangeably in low(Drops) applications, however I have all but stopped using either in my latest mixes.
