Finally figured out my atty & clicked the purchase button on my 1st Reo LP, yay! One question, I have a Sony Vtc5 & Efest 2500 mah both flat top. I know the recommended ones are AW IMR 1600 mah. Do button top work better then flap top or vice versa? Also, why not the 2,000 mah or even the protected which is over 3000 mah? They would last WAY LONGER RIGHT? Do they help performance as I vape under 1 ohm? W/ Sony 5's hard to find, what's next best thing or what do you all use? TY, can't wait to get my Reo!

I use VTC5s in all my Grands, have used the Efest "35 amp" as well. Flat tops work well and still allow enough room for the battery to drop in case of a short.

As far as how long they last, it depends on your ohms and vaping style. I change my batteries out when I hit 3.8 volts. I run .4 ohms and vape pretty heavily and can get a couple of hours of chain vaping before the performance drops off. YMMV.

Anybody suggest good battery's with the Sony Vtc5 hard to find. Usually vape .5 & definitely chain vape

If you can't find VTC5, VTC4 will be good, too. It's just not as many mAh. LG also makes a great one. RTD carries a wide array of good batteries for mods. Their description on their site stinks, so you'll have to check out the specs elsewhere. Never use a protected battery in any mod. They are not rated for high drain. And the AW IMR button top batteries are excellent as well. They say use the 1600 mah ones as the discharge rate is much higher than the 2000mah ones. I use all VTC5's but have a couple of AW IMR's in reserve just in case.

when batteries are rated the test is how long it take to discharge down to 2.5 volts which is great for a flashlight but not us. In a mechanical what matters is how long it holds voltage above 3.7 volts since below 3.7 vape performance starts to drop off quickly. So the AW 1600 holds longer above 3.7 but drops to 2.5 faster than the 2000.
So the 1600 is better for Reos and 2000 is better for flashlights

Aw 1600 mah also have a 24 amp rating and the 2000 mah only 10 amp rating
