Finding the correct wattage

I purchased the dna 30 Vapor shark in December of 2014. Since then I've been experimenting with finding the best wattage to get the best flavor and vape without getting a burnt taste. I started with 12, then 12.5, 13 and 13.5. My go to tank is the aspire mini nautilus.

Just recently I had the wattage up to 25 to vape my Atlantis. When I switched back to my mini nautilus I forgot to tweak down the wattage and found that although the vape was hotter than normal, the flavor was exceptional! I now have the wattage at 15 watts and I'm finding that the vape and the flavor is where I like them.

Is this a high wattage setting for the mini nautilus? Are there any cons with using it this way?

When using my Nautilus I'm always between 15W and 20W. I usually have it set at 19W but back it down to 15W for a couple of my juices.

You should try a temperature controlled mod. Those things are excellent. Set the temperature you like rather than the watts and the mod will adjust the power to maintain that temperature. No more burnt tasting hits, and it stops firing if the wick is too dry.

With TC, you set the temp, but you still need to set the wattage. What happens is the mod will fire at the wattage you set, but if it hits the temp limit, the mod automatically cuts the wattage down to prevent the temp from going over the set temperature.

Set your wattage to whatever you feel comfortable with. For example, my Subtanks I run between 20-25 watts. Any higher and the vape is too warm for me. With the Nautilus, I typically run it around 10-12 watts. I use fairly high VG juices, so it wicks slower in the Nautilus. If I try to vape the Nautilus at 20 watts, it will just taste burnt, because the juice isn't wicking fast enough. With my Atlantis tanks, I run it a lot higher (around 30 watts on the Atlantis 1, 40 watts on the Atlantis 2 and 55 watts on the Atlantis 2 with the 0.3 ohm coil).
