So, after 42 days I've finally sampled all of Halo's e-liquid offerings!!!

There were some definite winners and losers discovered. Passionate disagreements welcomed.

Top Picks:

- Torque56 (5 Stars): Wow! Out of the “box” this one blew me away. The tobacco flavor (though I don't know if it really tastes like tobacco) was strong with a good, sweet undertone. While the throat-hit was powerful, it didn't leave me with a sore throat like some other e-liquids (e.g. HX3). This may not be an all day vape for some but at the very least, this will wake up your taste buds in the most wondrous of ways.

- Freedom Juice (5 Stars): Almost like a refined version of Torque56. The tobacco flavor wasn't as “intense” but that doesn't mean it had a muted flavor. The throat-hit is unbelievably smooth. It's there but instead of announcing it's presence to the world it's like someone stopped by and in their best James Dean impersonation said “hey baby, how's it hanging.” This defines “All Day Vape.”

- Midnight Apple (4 Stars): It's is almost exactly like smoking a hookah. (and I love me some hookah). If you like hookahs, you have to try it.

- Tribeca (4 Stars): I can see why this is such a fan favorite but I kept finding myself “chasing the flavor.” The tobacco and carmel flavors are good but if there were just a little stronger, this one would give Torque56 and Freedom Juice a run for it's money. A solid 4 but it just doesn't have what it takes to hit the 5.

Avoid At All Costs:

- HX3 (1 Star): Gag! This tastes like I'm vaping in a chemistry lab. Someone likened the flavor to Irish Spring soap which I find an insult to Irish Spring. Plus, this absolutely destroyed my throat after vaping it a full day.

- Southern Classic (1 Star): I found Southern Classic to have a slightly chemically taste (not as bad as HX3 though). I also didn't notice any tobacco flavor and the other flavors seems extremely muted.

- Mystic (1 Star): The least bad of the worst, Mystic seemed like a watered-down version of SubZero. Not horrible but frankly, not enjoyable.

Middle of the Pack:

- I found the tobacco e-liquids to have the greatest variety and as such, can completely understand why some may find, for example, Voodoo or Captain Jack to be awesome. I had a lot of 2s and 3s in this group and may find myself returning to some of the 3s in the future.

- The menthols didn't have enough variety for me but the two that were “of value” were Menthol ICE and SubZero. SubZero is no joke. Pure, unadulterated menthol but... with just the right amount of sweetness. Menthol ICE seemed like SubZero's quiet brother (and not a poor imitation like Mystic). He has his own, enjoyable personality. In fact, Menthol ICE is probably the guy you'd like as a brother in-law (nobody would trust SubZero with their sister).

- The gourmet pack is way to reliant on chocolate. The chocolates all tasted 90% the same with a very slight variance. I almost fell in love with Twisted Java. The coffee flavor is phenomenal but the peppermint really hurts it. Plus, the peppermint started to jack-up my throat after a day's vape making it suitable for only an occasional vape.

like your scoring, i like the Menthol Ice, the Torque and Tribeca..but i also like Turkish mixed with the Ice...your description of Tribeca is spot on except for, i get a Graham cracker taste along with it ...and mixing it with Belgain Cocoa is just awesome...i used the Torque when i first gave up analogs it sure helped when that over-whelming Jones hit me and now i just like it.

appreciate your review, thanks

Well, since you asked for it...

I've been 22/22 in trying all Halos flavors for awhile now.

You're entitled to your opinion. There are no right or wrong answers in the world of taste buds.

Sub-zero is a joke because it's intensely powerful and un-vapeable. I don't like inhaling vix vapor rub, unless my sinuses are stuffed up. Great to spike other juices though.

Mystic is nothing like Sub-zero. At all. It's a lot like my (former) menthol analogs, stripped of the tobacco. I'm guessing you weren't a heavy menthol smoker?

Giving Southern Classic (doing it right, Angie?) my favorite ejuice ever 1 star is asinine. It's so good, I'm almost taking that personally. :(

Everybody likes Tribeca.

Voodoo, Prime15, and Captain Jack are definitely the worst. No love for the unnatural Twisted Java and Cafe Mocha either.

Well, everybody's entitled to their opinion. One man's awesome is another man's yuck! But please guys, could we be a little more...um...'diplomatic'....lol. Truth be told, if I had it to do all over again, I'd name my firstborn 'VooBeca' (a combo of Voodoo and Tribeca)...but call him 'Mystic/Torque...only in the house, as a nickname ya know...wouldn't want to scar the kid for life or anything! :vapor:

Anyhoo....great rundown (no pun intended) chicken menudo! Glad ya found some good ones!

Looks right to me!

And Chicken...I also started on Torque and it was also 5 stars to me..got me off cigs and it will always be a jooz in my heart!! But like Wheez said, would love you to do this review in about 2-3 months. Funny how our 4,000 chemical dumped taste buds change from when we first start vaping.

Example..Tribeca and I have been through a heck of a relationship. Month one, we were in love. Months 2-5, we hated each other, BADLY. Month 6, could handle each other again only when mixed with others. Month 7, back in love alone or in the company of others.

Much like my relationship w/Wheez but we are back together again until Easter.

Yeah! I have two bottles of the classic on the way to me now! 1 star? Well I never!

I’m tracking with what your all saying and I do agree that one man’s yum is another’s Yuk. I am new to vaping and I now have been off analogs for a week now (after 26 years) so I’m pleased with what the Halo Triton has provided. Now to the e-juice, I have not had that WOW factor with any of the e-juice Halo is offering but the Tirbeca was the only one so far that did not give me a chemical or perfume after taste. I ordered the verity pack to see if I could find something different as the tobacco pack just had to many flavors I didn’t like. The top of my worse list is LongHorn, this stuff is a big fail for me as I could not even stand to vape it. I gave it the benefit of a doubt and tried it again and I just can’t stand it. The Prime 15 is the next that just tastes like a chemical stick. Midnight Apple tastes like Black Jack pipe tobacco (not to my liking). I didn’t mind the Turkish tobacco as it was an ok vape. I’m currently vaping the Torque 56 and I have mixed thoughts on this as it too has a perfume after taste (not as bad as LongHorn) but has a good tobacco flavor and throat kick. Don’t get me wrong folks, yes I’m new to vaping so maybe my opinion doesn’t count right now, but I’m just calling the way I see it. I’ve been reading a ton of posts and there are so many different options for e-juice that I have no clue where to go and no clue on what to try? I guess the biggest thing to take away from all of this is I’m off analogs and feeling good about it. I understand it may take me a few months to find something I really like but in the meantime I’ll keep trying the other offerings from Halo to see if I can find that WOW factor.

Just out of curiously, before you load a tank and vape, are you allowing the Halo juice to steep around 24-48 hours (some need longer) and shaking the bottles really good? I do get some off tastes if I don't steep them real good. Just wondering.

I absolutely loathed some of the flavors in December. Now they taste totally different to me :) Your taste buds will undergo a huge change over the next few months. Revisit the flavors you think you don't like then - you'll probably be pleasantly surprised!

Note: I'm still afraid to retry Turkish - I thought it was so disgusting a few months ago I don't want to dirty a tank with it LOL

I loved the Turkish, in fact although Tribeca was my first, I ran out of Turkish in a few days.

Now, why all the hate on sub-zero again? Unvapable? Nooo. I have been through a lot of sub-zero since I started. And since the first week, it is the only juice that is my ADV, and has its own designated tank. It is a menthol lovers fantasy, and I even have to add some extra menthol to it occasionally. It needs a good steep, and really needs aired out to get the great sub-zero effect.

Also, did the OP use the same set up for everything? Some juices do absolutely terrible in those universe loathing mini-tanks. I used my mini's once each, and they are now buried in the back of my collection.

Everybody's taste buds wake up when we quit smoking the nasties. This will change what we think tastes good in time. Also, some of Halo's juices need more time to steep. Who knows, maybe some did not sit long enough at Halo or something. For me, Longhorn was unvapable for over a month. It tasted like cheap perfume, Sharpie marker and other vile nuances. Months later, it is DAMN good. Midnight Apple needed a month until it tasted great, too. For me, all the others were great after shaking/ overnight uncapped. YMMV! :vapor:

OK I have to give you all an update as I have changed my opinion on some of the juice. Some of the juice that I said was not good I've changed my opinion:

(The top of my worse list is LongHorn, this stuff is a big fail for me as I could not even stand to vape it. [UPDATE Longhorn after steeping it was ok] The Prime 15 is the next that just tastes like a chemical stick [UPDATE after steeping it was good and I did like it on my last tank]. Midnight Apple tastes like Black Jack pipe tobacco (not to my liking) [No Change]. Torque 56 and I have mixed thoughts on this as it too has a perfume after taste (not as bad as LongHorn) but has a good tobacco flavor and throat kick).[UPDATE Torque 56 after steeping was very good just a bit strong].

I just got the variety pack and wanted to try the Kringles Curse, man I love this stuff and most reviews are correct in saying it tastes like a candy cane. I’m vaping the heck out of this stuff and plan on getting the 30ml bottle. As I go through the pack I’ll send more updates. It’s been two weeks since I had an analog and I’m very happy with what Halo has provided me, a smoke free life.
