Sup Halons,

So today is another vape mail day for me

Got me some Tri (30ml), Cool Mist (30ml), SubZero (7ml), Captain Jack (7ml), and HX3 (7ml) waiting in today's mail.

I'm looking forward to trying Captain and HX3 and once I do, that'll complete the Halo line of flavors for me. I still work with carts to try new flavors and to change things up without putting it all in a tank but if I like Captain or HX3, I may have to add a couple more tanks into my rotation (currently 6).

Anyone have any thoughts about Captain Jack or HX3?...ehem...jeffsview you out there? I'd like to see what some of you guys think before I go for a spin later tonight.

i've never tried Captain Jack either...unless you mean Captain Morgan with Jack Daniels, but i'm sure my mix taste different because i also add battery acid.... you know...for flavor.

Peanut butter? I heard it was more fruity... There's a HALO thread in the General Elquid Review and Snowdog, I believe, has been mentioning HX3 in relation to Voodoo, Midnight Apple and Southern Classic and it's fruit notes. Made me want to try it, although the "hint" of menthol mentioned puts me off.

Midnight Apple was the same way, with folks mentioning menthol, when it was, in fact, anise and other spices giving it a "menthol-like" effect or aspect.

When I was an analog smoker I didn't like menthol but now that I'm a vaper, I'm liking the occasional switch to menthol.

I haven't tried either. I could probably guess I wouldn't like Captain Jack because of the pipe description. And like you, I would NEVER touch menthol analogs unless I'm at a party, out of cigs, have a buzz going and desperate. But Malibu changed my mind on that cuz the menthol is smooth.

PLZ up date us your review on the HX3 because it sounds great!! At least you can compare it to and describe the menthol to Malibu!! I think a lot of us have tried that.

I also got an aluminum drip tip from Halo. looks cool, and lets you do a carto with the little cone thingy I got and had to use.

But I'm done with the cartos. I'll get a few more mini tanks, then "augment" the small opening in the cone so I can use it with the lil tanks. I like the little tanks, draws tighter than the 2.4 tanks.

I had finished one carto, and refilled it with other vendor's flavor. Nice with the tip.

However, the HX3 tasted weird with the tip. It tasted fine without the tip. Weird, right?

Will get home to sample more of the Tiki (first impressions were good) now that it has steeped open for a day.
My big bottle of VooDoo is also steeping as per Mistress AngiBe's instructions. Will sample that as well.

I'm am so crossing my fingers Voodoo comes around for you!!! But must ask, what did you try Voodoo in? The carto, mini tank? Just curious because I'm opposite of you, I do not like mini tanks at all. So, wondering if the VOODOO will grab you in that mini tank.

And I recently found out I do not care for metal/aluminum tips. I don't like how cold they get and I taste metal or funky stuff w/them.

LMAO! I'm flattered I think it's only cuz I'm a crazy nut and too much time on my hands & on here screaming from the roof tops about Voodoo all the time!

But...I'm willing to try other stuff like that HX3 (was that what it was?) and actually thinking about giving Tribeca another whirl cuz every1 loves it so much. If I remember correctly, I did like it when I first tried it, then my taste buds went all wacky (vapors tongue for 9 days) then tried it again but think it was on a mini tank which I learned I don't like any juice in those.

By then, I gave it to my friend and I believe it's gone so think its time for a do over. Tiki sounds pretty good too! I want to buy another VV batt, need more coils too so maybe I will get some samples of more flavors! And there's a FREEDOM coupon code sale too!!!!

Hmmm. HX3 and Captain Jack sounds like something I would like to try, and with the 20% Veteran's Day sale...I'm getting diabolical thoughts!

Hey guys,

OK so I've been sitting here checking out HX3 and Captain Jack and (for what it's worth) here is my opinion.

First off my setup is 25 drops out of fresh (obviously), shaken bottles...put in 2 never used carts, and using my Triton VV (3.8 volts seemed to be the sweet spot for both).

Both flavors are most definitely from the tobacco line as it's the dominant flavor in each and very smooth (similar to Torque56).

HX3 has a touch (or kiss) of mint and fruit but I can't quite figure out what fruit because it's so subtle (definitely not pineapple though). It's good but it's not anything like Malibu as far as a mentholly, pineapple, vape. I don't get menthol but a slight minty taste.

Captain Jack actually is like a sweet tobacco flavor with a slight hint of spice (very slight). It reminded me of sweeter cousin of Torque56.

If you're into tobacco flavors then I think you'd probably really like these cos they're very close to a Marlboro Red with subtle twists.

They'll now go into steep mode with the rest to be revisited later.

OK so I'm no jefsview but hey, I'm an IT guy for god sakes. Anyway, that's my story and I'm stickin to it

Everybody is different. I find that I can only vape tobacco flavors in a carto on my G6. Weird huh? I think it's pyschological in that it makes me think i'm smoking a cigarette...nah, I'm just nuts!

If you are nuts, then I'll be in the next room at the sanitarium.

I like the tobacco flavors with a harder, tighter draw. Get that with the mini tanks. (AngiBe, why not you like the mini tanks? Are you so spoiled by your "little friend"?)

But I'm not liking the Halo cartos. I don't think I like cartos, period. Can't evaluate the HX3 prefilled.

I do still have my logic. I pulled all the wadding and tubes and NSA tracking devices from inside a few of the cartos, and use them as atomisers (noobie, am I right with the term?), and I drip a few drops in and vape.

Maybe it's the muscle memory on the lips, cheeks, but that does satisfy some deep crave. hhmm. and the thin light stick, maybe it's still the "noobie with a cigalike".

Then I'll pull out the triton tank, and make more fog than a mosquito sprayer truck at the Jersey Shore in July!!!

Lol!! I tried the mini tanks three months ago for almost two weeks and I don't know why it didn't do it for me. The only thing I can think of is I got the most horrific burnt draw one time. Jefsview had to literally "walk me off the cliff" cuz I nearly gave up vaping altogether and thought about buying a pack of analogs.

Maybe it's a mental thing or maybe because I draw too hard sometimes but I always got a slight burnt taste w/them. I still have around 6 new, in the package ones. Maybe I need to try again because it has been three months since I tried them.

I'm weird with ya then CDD cos I still like the carts and use them a lot. I have my samples in carts and jump around from time to time just for fun. That's my idea of fun? OK I'm weird or boring! For me it's more of the convenience of size I think with the Triton 600 and cone (although filling them is more bothersome than just dumping it in like with the TT).
