A couple weeks ago I was traveling and saw a combo Led flashlight / Pill fob at a gas station for $5 ... I just couldn't pass it up...
I ordered a few of these (I have big clumsy hands and tend to break stuff, glad I did or I would have had to wait a few days to finish)
Tactile Switch with Round actuator.
I bought a roll of Aluminum tape (couldn't find copper tape) and did some taping on the inside of the flashlight because its anodized and I wasn't sure it was gonna conduct super well.
Lastly I bought an 8x AA project box for 1.99 from radio shack and scavenged the battery springs from it.
I made a round plug out of plumbers epoxy that has a battery spring on the back, and a small spring (clicky pen) on the front which contacts the positive end of a 510 to 808 adapter.
The adapter screws right into the hole where the LED used to stick out, just had to drill it out a bit and thread it straight the first time
She runs off of a 14430 800 mAh protected trusfire.
P.S. no Idea who makes this flashlight or where to buy more... other than Maybe the gas station on the turnpike outside Topeka KS
Grim
