Just wondering, on my mini, how easy should the button be to turn on and off? Should the button have a little resistance to turning? Mine, bought used, only has to turn just a smidge to be turned off, and with no resistance at all.
I have 12 Metal REO's. All of the firing buttons work as intended. Some seem to be tighter than others and need a little bit more effort to turn. Some turn off quite easy. Like you said yours does. I feel as they are used more they become less tight. Might be from pushing a little too hard on the button? Not quite sure. Some I have to watch how I place my thumb on because it will turn it to off sometimes.
Ok, thanks for the info. On mine, I have a 3ml syringe plunger on the button, which makes it easier to apply a slight pressure in the right direction to keep it turned on while pressing.

The ceramic button cover Rita sent me hasn't come off my Grand for a few weeks now. I used just a bit of Elmer's glue as davelog suggested and all is right in my button pressing world.
