I think that there is a basic difference between 401 and 510/eGo in terms of throat hit and flavor. My wife started with a cheap ripoff 401 kit that died within a few weeks last year. When we got started on 510's, then moved to eGo's, I never knew the difference.

A couple weeks ago I was placing an order with Goodprophets and decided to get an adapter to use her old 401 attys, since they still looked OK and I thought, why waste 'em - I can always drip/dip! The adapter was a buck. When I got it and hooked up the 401 atty to a 510, it was more flavorful and smooth than anything I do on 510/eGo setups - cartos or dripping onto a debridged atty. Much tastier than a 510 in my opinion.

I guess I'm saying that the difference may be partially because the 401 atty is a very tasty vape and a little cooler on the throat than the 510/ego in the first place. An adapter would be a cheap way to find out, by putting a 401 atty on that eGo. Since that's a short term plan, I think dripping onto a standard 510 atty (2.5-3.0 ohm) on the eGo battery is the best flavor you can get compared to the 401. It just doesn't travel well or look as cool as a tank.

Good luck with this trial and error journey. Rest assured that most of us have spent a lot of money hunting down the hardware and juice that works best for us! At least you haven't sunk $1000+ on mods that are gathering dust while you keep chasing the perfect vape! Your new system is more or less the mainstream standard, so you can always sell, trade or PIF any things that you don't like right here! (And buy more new toys - the vicious cycle begins!)

I think I saw something about that dual coil carto, I will do a research on it.

I'm not very demanding on my PV, I don't need too much vapor to be satisfied but having no flavor sucks.
I have posted why I'm having taste problems with the T, at least I think it's part of the problem.

so if the T doesn't work for me after a while I will order the mega cone atty and cart and maybe I will try something different like a carto or something

is that dual coil carto really good?
how does it compare to the regular atty?

peeps say that cartos are as convenient as Tanks, but they say the atty doesn't last for long and for me longevity is a must
thanks for your reply my friend
:D
Ya want some more flavor? Slap a 510 1.5Ω dual coil carto on your eGo batt, then come back and let us know whatcha think.

I've read that the 510 DCC may 'take out' the switch. But I've yet to read about an actual failure. Been using the above set up for a week now with absolutely no issues and am enjoying flavor beyond the tank config.

I did watch an Holiday Inn Express commercial last night...

I really like the dual coil cartos. Some more delicate juices like my peach juice is sort of muted with the dual coil carto. For that juice I stick to the boge 2.0 cartos. My all day vape, I love the dual coil cartos. Hold a ton of juice! I think it depends on your juice maybe.

With cartomizers, the atomizer is built into the cartomizer. They are disposable but depending on your juice they can last quit a while. Maybe a week- two weeks depending on your vaping style. Some people have them last longer than that. At about $1.30-$1.50, not too bad for a couple weeks.

wow does the 401 taste that good compare to the ego/510??
omg I thought nothing would be worse than the 401 for me, you know the vapor production sucks and I had to constantly top off the carts or dip the atty to get it to work decently

for me the 401 is hotter on the throat than the ego, I think it's because I had to suck for very long to get vapor and that makes the atty hot

I don't think I will keep my 401 around for too long, a friend of mine wants to try e-cigs and maybe I will sell it to him
I feel bad though, it was my first pv and I still kinda like it even though it's high maintenance vaping compared to the eGo

Yeah I'm just almost 3 weeks into vaping and I can tell we can be lost with all the products out there, juices, kits, setups, vape style....there's is so much we have to take into account
anyway, regardless all that what really matters is to keep out of analogs right?
it can be fun though

since I stopped smoking it has been a great experience and I don't think I will ever go back
thanks my friend and keep on vaping =D
