I decided to try something simple for my first mod. This is a wooden bottom feeder box mod. The box is made from Orange osage, walnut, and a touch of maple. The atty is a 801. The big ole ugly horn button will be absent from future mods. It works well but is uuuugly. The battery is a 18650 which gives all day vaping. :) It also has a 6 ml capacity

Pic of unit apart. The juice bottle just slides into the top. The battery just drops in.
Not planning on selling until they meet my standards. Just put this together since I like to drip but I have an hour drive each way to work and driving and dripping can be bad for your health.
New shapes on the drawing board plus VV and touch switch.

Real nice, especially since it is your first mod, quite eyebrow raising coming from the title. Is there a magnet on the negative connection of the battery too? It seems like a spring would counter the magnets too much. I agree the horn switch is just too practical for the racing stripe :)

Asdaq.
The negative has a spring under it. Those magnats have no problem countering the spring. You can see the female Molex pin beside the battery.

UpstatEpuf,
You are correct it is the legendary horn switch.

Breaktru,
I take it you missed the big black Madvapes horn button. They are not very pretty but work great.

Thanks for your comments I think I may be getting Mod disease and after seeing the great work everyone has done on this forum I believe that there is no cure. :)

Very nice Calypso. I see your point about the horn switch - recessed with only a bit of the outer case showing might balance it - but then I'm not trying to cut in at that angle and beveling out the innards either. I do like the touch on that switch though. Nice wood work!

I like the recessed magnets, great idea... is that small hole centered next to the battery the negative contact?
