This morning I was sitting at my desk having this feeling that my regular evenly spaced sub ohm coil was just missing something... And it hit me... Flavor! Vapor production was great but the flavor was... Meh. Micro coils are usually my go to for flavor but something caught my interest.. Twisted coils.

So, what the heck, I whipped out my vape gear and went to it. Used 30g kanthal A1 and twisted it with pliers and a paper clip... Well it broke at the paper clip and had to start again with something I found in the office... A clothesline clip. Yeah, it was difficult but I did it. Wrapped 5 wraps on them little screw drivers you typically get with rebuildable attys. Put them on my Igo-W. Dual coil came to 0.37 ohms. It is a beast! Flavor is awesome! Vapor production is amazing!

I'm not sure why it took me so long to try it... I guess I was probably afraid of potential shorts since it is two wires touching... And the difficulty of twisting it together. I recommend this to anyone wanting clouds of delicious vapor.

Of course, do be careful. This is advanced and not recommended for beginners.

Here are pictures for reference.

Good looking build! I did this on my aios in dripper mode and im still using it now. Produces grear flavor! I use a shaprie pen that has the pocket type cap on it to twist the wire when i dont feel like using my drill.

Thanks! Yeah, for me to do this as a daily driver I'm going to have to find a way to more easily twist the wire.. I'll have to try the sharpie since I always have one close at the office and the home.

If you have a drill handy, it's much easier.

Since I buy them 100ft spools from TEMco, I usually twist up ~15 feet right from the start, yielding me ~7 feet or so of pre-made twisted.

Don't forget to torch it as well to help it keep it's shape.

I will most likely twist up some in advance next time while home using the drill. Too bad I didn't have a drill here at the office... though I'm sure it would attract some attention haha
