My first attempt to make my own juice turned out with mediocre taste. I used Flavor Apprentice Apple Pie with a 50/50 base. The first 5ml mix was at 10% which resulted in weak flavor. So I added more flavor which, if my math was right, brought it up to 20%. It smells good and there was plenty of flavor, it just didn't taste anything like apple or pie with a clean tank & head. Each attempt was allowed to steep for a week. I'm wondering if there are any other additives that should be part of the mix like sweetener n such or maybe it just needed to steep longer? A couple drops of menthol made this batch vapable so it's not a compete loss.

::Oops wrong forum, meant for diy. Maybe a mod can move it for me :)

Your description actually sounds like a classic case of over flavoring.

Under my avatar, just to the right of "Blog Entries:" is a 3. Click on that 3 and then the blog on Flavoring Levels. See if number seven or eight on that list sounds familiar.

(And you're right, your post would get more looks from mixers on the DIY sub.)
