First attempt

Hi

I just mixed my first bit of juice, a 5ml test.

PG - 60%
VG - 40%
Nic Base (PG) - 72mg/ml
Flavour - Capella Kiwi Strawberry

Mixed as follows

PG - 1.7ml
VG - 2.0ml
Nic - 0.8ml (12mg strength)
Flavour - 0.5ml

Gave it a good shake, dripped it into my rda (Standard 510 RDA) and......

...tasted nothing. There was a very slight hint of strawberry, not a bit of kiwi.

It's now sat on a shelf in a dark room with the top off, hopefully it will improve.

Will do a mix at 20% flavour too see how that tastes.

Hopefully I can get this mastered and have some decent juice on the go that'll save me some money.

I am a newbie too and kept reading less flavor has a better taste so I started with 1 flavor at 5%. And then at 10% just to see the difference. Seemed like 5-10% is a good starting point. I am using an IGO-L RBA on a Vamo and my girl is using an EGO with EVOD and both taste good.

Actually i think that the flavor you mixed is for water and not for vaping. These are much lighter and that is the reason you can't taste it. I could be wrong tho...

Hmm, it was bought from a vaping specific site (Alchemist Cupboard). Thanks for the heads-up.

I think I mis-measured my flavouring though. I just did a Capella Cool Mint at 20% and dripped it right after making and that tastes great.

I must have not been concentrating properly when I measured. Will try The Kiwi Strawberry again at 20% and see what happens.

Loving the DIY, just so I can say I made my own juice that has flavour instead of some of the really bad tasting ones I have bought from a local shop.

It. Might come. Out more after steeping. Every flavor is gonna be a little different but give it a week or two and try it again I bet it's Allot better
