With most flavors yes. I just keep adding a bit at a time and tracking how much until it is good for me.

I did find some flavorings that just get stronger the more you add. They are natural no artificial ingredients flavorings from flavorconcentrates.com. Their blueberry is really good.
Fair enough, will give it a shot in the morning, in the UK so it's pretty late :p this is doing my head in though :(

Mix each flavour seperately first with low percentages. Add flavour little by little till you hit your 'sweet spot' on each.
Then blend and taste.
Depending on their chemical makeup, individual flavours can - and do - 'cancel' each other out. Could be the case here.
Could still happen when you blend them, is very tricky to balance combined flavours.
Some ' co-exist' with no problems, others tend to crowd each other out.
If it don't work, try with different suppliers ... been wading through about a dozen or so vanilla flavours till I got the one that suits me.
Zen , patience, and the art of mixing :)

Keeping the cap off is mainly for letting stuff evaporate. Vs. steeping which is about blending and time. If you're getting no flavor, even an off flavor might be welcome at first... I usually heat my new blends some, but only shoot for blood-hot. Some of the creamy flavors can get almost too strong if they actually get a chance to age.

There are some flavors that require specific hardware, but if strawberry cream and the like didn't work in almost anything the current hardware market would be a lot different.

Combinations are often the magic item. I have a caramel that smells delicious but I can't taste, I've hit on combos accidently but still need to figure it out. Cheesecakes taste like nothing until I add a little fruit or something, not even enough to identify by itself. Sweetener can hide the taste, but also sometimes bring it out, especially fruits, most of the flavorings claim no sweetener by themselves. There are other methods of auditioning flavors: water/drinks(usually need sweet), Cool Whip, or bare flavors no base, by smell only.

I added some EM and left it over night, got a fair bit of flavour that quickly faded but it's some progress at least, gonna just leave it for aweek and try again I think!
