first attemtps at box mod

these are my first attempts at making a box mod based around the vamo board
they work the same as a vamo but just in a nice wooden box

this one shows the different wood combinations i used to see which i prefared
this one shows the fire button and finger grip

Those are really nice , for a first attempt that's fantastic,like to see what you'll be making in 6month,your very talented,now modding is in your blood.

Gotta be my favorite looking box mod to date and I don't like box mods. With a couple tweaks I could even see myself using one of those heh. I'd smooth out the angle where the button sits so it's more of a curvature, try and possibly make it a bit more organic looking.

These might be your first attempts at box mods, but I'm going to guess your day job is making wooden cases for consumer electronics, particularly the pocketable kind that have an 'i' at the beginning of the brand. And six attempts, sheesh!

My day job is bespoke furniture maker, kitchens ,studies,libraries ect.
I made the six to see which combination of timbers I preferred ,which turned out
to be the knotty oak (pippy oak) for me and the walnut and ash for my son-inlaw.
Picked up some purpleheart and wedge on Saturday will see what comes of them
Need to do a bit of refining to be totally happy with them,but still quite happy with
First attempt,the other four in picture are just empty shells
