First atty how to clean

I just picked up my first attys (whole first mech mod build actually) I know people usually clean them before they build them

So before I even start how do I properly clean the attys off

I have 1 Aqua v2 and 1 orchid v3 Both by tobeco

How should I clean them before attempting my first coil?

You can get at least 100 different ways to clean and products to use... all of them provide success, to some degree or another. From warm water and Oxy-Clean to cheap vodka... assorted solvents, ultrasonic cleaners, boiling... and everything in between.

Old school me just uses hot water and liquid dish soap... and the latter only if they're really funky.

Thanks for the reply I was leaning tword just soap and hot water since I don't really have many cleaning agents laying around besides the basics

Completely dis-assemble and clean with HOT HOT water and dish-soap. That's where I start.. IF that doesn't get all the oils and stuff from MFG, then try other solvent, alcohol and degreasers ect.

I soak in vinegar for an hour. Vinegar is a great mild solvent. Then HOT, HOT running water. I use a needle-nose pliers to hold the item under the water. Air dry.

I just soak all parts with all orings removed in a bowl with mild dish soap and HOT water and scrub with tooth brush.

If you're looking to get rid of machine oil, a good soak in hot water and dawn dish soap always does the trick for me. That kills the funky metal taste that otherwise takes a few tank fulls to disappear.
