RDA First build ever!

Hi everyone, been researching rdas for a couple weeks now, and did my first build just now! Keeping it simple, but I was pretty proud of myself, so I figured I'd post it up:



28 gauge, 7 wraps, .6 total. I'm surprised it worked as easily as it did, guess those YouTube hours are paying off! I'd love any advise, my goal is rta's and rebuilding factory coils, and this seemed like the best way to get into coil making.

coils don't look too bad, looks like your center post is loose though, might need to tighten that up. Also try searching youtube for yosh vapergate wicking, that cotton needs some help! Lol

Not bad at all for a first build! I agree with the wicking recommendation, I use the vapergate method as well (modified a bit though).

Did you leave the bit you wrapped around inside the coils while tightening and positioning them? If not, try that next time. They should end up a lot more even and neat.

Thanks guys! I rewicked trying to do it following yosh's vid and it definitely looks and wicks better! I sure appreciate the advice! Sure holds a lot more juice...

What do you mean it looks like the center post is loose? How would he tighten it?

If you look at the picture its crooked, spun to the left a bit. I don't know what atty that is but he might need to tighten the center pin or else pass an allen through the post holes and twist it clockwise a bit to tighten it up.

lol. I was happy with myself after I built my first coil too. I'm fairly certain it's a universal feeling. I spent a lot of time on youtube and ended up being surprised how easy it was. good luck.

It's definitely a little crooked but it's a set post, it's not moving at all. Rda is the rh. The picture definitely makes it look off more than it is. Thanks for the input!

Well done.
On your pic, for me I have more cotton inside the coils and less fanning of cotton outside the coils.
Want cotton to be touching all of the inside of the coils.
