First build on my new Veritas clone

I just received my Veritas clone today as well as a sonic wave ultra sonic cleaner. Ran the Veritas through the cleaner and built my first coil on it. Did a single horizontal coil on it. What do you guys think? What would be the best wicking technique to use on this build? I ran a cotton wick through it and just filled the well with the extra wick. I get some popping that makes hot juice go the drip tip into my mouth. What causes this and how can I prevent it?

Check the other veritas thread for build pics. It looks like your wick is completely blocking the airhole. In general you are using way too much wick. Also, try putting your coil as close to the airhole as possible and high up on the airhole. ..run a normal u shaped shouldered wick with the wick ends just touching the bottom of each well or just the center area of the well. These tend to give the best vape for most Veritas users. It's a great little device. Good luck with it. Here are some pics of some dual horizontals...
