I'm getting quite a bit of throat hit and not much cloud, can I increase cloud output and decrease throat hit? I put the cotton under the coils, they wouldn't fit above.

Cloud and throat hit are normally associated with your juice mix.
1) Is this a flavor you have vaped before (so we have a better idea of reference)?
2) What battery are you using?
3) What rebuildable is this in the picture you are showing us?
4) What is the current ohms of this rebuildable? (if you don't know, you need to learn more before using it)

I'm actually new to vaping. I'm using grandmaster by five pawns. 50/50 mix I believe with 6mg Nic.

Sony VTc5

It's an tobh atty RDA.

My ohms are 5.5.

Your resistance is ridiculously high.. Try using a thicker gauge wire and drop them down. It is taking them a while to heat up because the resistance is so high. That is a potential culprit of not a lot of vapor production

How low can I go? So a 30g wire?

Would more wire or less wire cause less resistance?

Also where can I find info on how low I can take my battery and how low I can take the coil based on my battery?

Sony VTC5 has a 30amp continuous amp draw rating. So if you go to Ohm's Law Calculator you can calculate your Current (amp draw) from plugging in 4.2 into the Voltage and enter in your resistance. You can go as low as .14 ohms with the VTC5s. I tend to keep my builds around the 0.5+ ohmsarea which if you do the math it is using 8.4 amps which is well within the safe range of the amp limit the battery has. It produces the right amount of flavor and vapor to meet my needs without going any lower.

Also remember that if you are using a dual coil with identical coils installed you will take the resistance of one of the coils and divide it by 2 to get your total resistance.

30 gauge wire will work. Even if you go down to 24 gauge wire you will be alright, it just depends on what you prefer.

Enter in your desired resistance on here and it will calculate the length of wire you need to use for your build.

This is a list of some users coils with different gauge wires and diameters and the resistance they got with their builds.

Battery mAh & C Rating = amp Calculator-This site has a list of some batteries and their amp limits and how low you can go on a build with the creators idea of a safe buffer zone.

That must be a mis type on the 5.5Ω I can clearly see the wire has some thickness to it .... I say clearly but your camera look's like it's focused on the table haha sory

it seems like you have open coils as well? a gap between each wrap?

if you are using 0.5Ω that is fine! but you are better off trying to get your wick inside your coil or keep the cotton cloud as is and make your coils into nano's sat on the cotton.... with open coil's as I think it is looking at your pic, and a cotton cloud you are constantly flooding the coil untill the cotton dry's and also any wire that isn't touching cotton and juice is also going to give a harsh vape

I bet you get better vapour when its almost dry but also get's harsher?

what wire have you got and what is that you have your coils in? :)
