I'm having some issues with my builds. I built a dual coil with 28g kanthal on my fogger v5 to about .8 ohms. I wicked it with cotton, just snug but not choking it. I fired it up with my mech mod, but I am getting incredibly bad throat hit, like a serious burn in the back of my throat.

I built a parallel single micro coil with two strands of 30g this morning to 1 ohm in my rda, I have the air hole drilled out, and I'm still getting poor flavor and very harsh throat hits. Same thing, wicked with cotton, but not enough to choke it. I can't figure out what's going on! Please help.

Btw, I'm using japanese cotton sheets, cut into a strip and split in half!

How long have you been rebuilding/using that kind of setup?

Out of the blue, after rebuilding and using at 15watts for a few months, 20/18mg nicotine just became too harsh for me; it was perfectly fine in the same setup for a decent while.

So I dropped the nic level to 15, now 12.

Maybe I'm just masking a crappy build streak by lowering the nic level, but it's working.

With my new super airy Plume Veil at around 20 watts, 18 is super smooth again, so increased airflow helped a lot.

It sounds like you've been doing this for a while, but I never believed too much nic could be harsh until I experienced it myself.

I just build this a few minutes ago...same thing, .90 barely any vapor, harsh and nasty. I checked for hotspots, and there weren't any. I'm dumbfounded.
