Picked up a tobeco kayfun lite+, 28awg kanthal, organic cotton balls and went to town. First attempt I got a 1.4 ohm that fired up nice and even...beginners luck? Who knows... No leaks or anything so far...pretty happy with the vape. I can't say I notice a huge taste difference yet (compared to my pro tanks)... But it hits stronger, with more TH....and I definitely like that!

I cleaned it it all out (hot soapy water and rinse) but still getting a slight odd taste with it. Kinda machine oily...I've read it may take a tank or so to get it broken in so we'll see how that goes.

Im glad I took the time to learn to do it. It wasn't very complicated.

If it doesn't clear up, get some pg and vg and fill a tank up...screw tank top off.. it should flood well through airhole. That and soap should take care of everything if it's bad.

It seems to be working its way out... I've about a half tank of juice vaped in it and it's seeming to lessen. One thing I noticed is I get a popping (like a detonation) inside the tank when I take a draw. Nothing bad...just startling at times. I'm running it between 3.6 and 3.8v on my spinner 1300 which seems good for taste, etc. is that normal?

If you did not strip every part off, center pin and all - It is NOT clean.

Next round break it all the way down.

I strip and run through an ultrasonic cleaner - you would be shocked at what comes off/out.

I thought I had mine clean. Until I flooded my tobeco kayfun and some blackish gunk came out the airhole with the juice...

That might be it. I did not strip it down that far. I'll break it down tonight as do that.
