Went down to the local watering hole. At noon. And all of the regulars were MIA. Well, the regular smokers. A couple of them showed up a couple hours late, and stayed for maybe an hour. Not good. Those guys (about 6 of them) would show up at 11 AM and drink for 4 or 5 hours. Nowhere to be seen.

Sad. I vaped that place to death for 2 months, but they didn't have any interest. Oh well.

Ok, now that I'm sober. lol

It was really strange to see all the people standing in the bar parking lot. The ban didn't seem to affect the night crowd. Except for the parking lot scene. It was something you would see if there was a bar fight going on. I've done a fair amount of travel to many states with smoking bans, and I have NEVER encountered something like that. Usually you see a few people, if any, in the outside smoking areas. There had to be a dozen people in the parking lot at all times.

Even worse. I went to a wedding reception last night at a reception hall. There were 2 receptions going on at the same time, and the number of people standing outside was incredible. This one I could almost understand. It was a nice night, and the hall allowed, or simply didn't bother with the idea of everyone bringing their drinks outside.

There was about 3 of us that were vaping at our table at the reception. No one said anything. I'm sure no one even noticed. Although it had a nifty little effect on the disco lights. lol

Clinton Township. The bar is owned by a Warren cop, so just ignoring the law isn't going to happen. Besides, I believe the fines are pretty steep.

I used to live in CA, and really didn't go to any bars or restaurants back then. But one time my brother and I decided to go to a local bar after the smoking ban was well under way. In CA, the fine was $100 per offense, so the bar owner decided to just ignore it, and pay the fine if it happened. I guess that was cheap enough to not lose the business.

I don't believe that's possible in MI.

I've gotten a bunch of the staff on 510's, so there were a bunch of blue led's going on a lot last night. lol
