These have a totally different feel from the loopy microfibre cloths. A lot of peeps who hate the feel of the loopy can handle these. After giving the bath sized ones a try, for months, I've gone back to heavy cotton terry for that heavy duty buffing/scrubbing action after shower/tub/spa/hot tub. I use the bath sized ones on dogs now. Kind of expensive but better than going to waste and they do pull the water out nicely.
I'll bet a lot of folks wouldn't even know they aren't cotton. My cotton weave kitchen towels feel very similiar; just a bit stiffer.
