I've read your posts for weeks and have been trying not to beat myself up about the 2-3 cigarettes a day that I couldn't seem to shake. Story after story of success with quitting made me feel even more like a loser.
I was introduced to an ecig (if you could call it that) a few years ago but never got serious and mainly used it when traveling. A bout with a nasty virus/cough sent me to upgrade the equipment a few weeks ago. What a difference a few years makes in this industry! Loving my iTaste vv 3.0.
My tactic this time was to keep a pack of smokes with me and not tell anyone that my goal was quitting. It took a lot of pressure off...psychological thing. When I got really stressed at work, I'd throw in the towel and succumb to my addiction. For weeks and weeks I played this game with myself. Today, all I did with that pack in my purse was give them out to co-workers who wanted to bum a cigarette. I just smiled and handed them out with a feeling of....well, good riddance!
Today was the first day I made it through an entire day without a cigarette. It's not the first time in my life but it's the first time in a long time after a 35 year love-hate relationship with them. I changed tanks and flavors like crazy all day but I DID it!! I don't know what tomorrow will bring. I'm taking this one day at a time.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who shares their stories and expertise on these boards! Without you, I wouldn't have known about MVB's cinnamon roll.
