First DIY mix - Pipsi Cola

I just got my flavors in today from Totally Wicked made 10ml of Pipsi Cola. When I opened the bottle I noticed it smelled exactly like Pepsi and had some high hopes for it, but the flavor is very strong, and tastes more like generic cola (Safeway select to be exact) than Pepsi. I'm thinking it may have been a newbies take to make 10 ml rift off the bat rather than mixing 2 or 3 ml to taste it first. I'm going to let it sit for a couple days to see if the flavor mellows out at all, but if it doesn't does anyone have some advice or experience with this flavor to get the best out of it?

My mix is 2ml 60mg nic/pg, 7ml pg (no nic), and 1ml Pipsi Cola. That gives me a 12mg/ml Pipsi juice at 10% flavor. I think it might be better at 7.5 or 5% flavor instead, but I'm not very experienced here.

Also, I found a good app on iPhone for keeping track of ejuice recipes! It's called Evernote Food, although I guess you could use regular Evernote or a piece of paper as well lol.

Is that what it's missing, the fizz?

Vapor Station had a creme soda that they don't make anymore but you could actually taste the fizz in the juice. someone in that thread mentioned champagne flavoring. That might work.

Thanks for the evernote idea. I just downloaded it to my Kindle. It will be a great way to organize all the DIY recepies I've been collecting.

No problem house mouse, it seemed like a good application for keeping thoughts and recipes organized.

Swedishfish, the problem with the taste is that it's too sweet and spicy. I'm going to let this batch sit for a day or two and see if the flavor mellows out a little. I was puffing off of the pipsi cart for about 3 hours, and by the end of the cart the flavor seemed to get better.

I'm going to put the bottle of juice in a warm water bath before I fill the cart again, I read that it helps the flavor out. I'll post again after I do that and let everyone know if it helps the taste at all.

Thanks for linking to that other thread, champagne is definitely on my "grocery" list now. I think the fizz in this flavor is fine, the problem was more I was expecting Pepsi and got Faygo instead ha ha.
