First Doctor Visit

Yesterday I had to go to the doctor to get checked up. After vaping for 2 months here it was nice to say I was a non-smoker when they asked. What got me was they always used to say "do you smoke?". Now they asked "have you ever smoked?" Obviously they couldn't smell it on me.

The part that made my day is that I have always had asthma. Normally when they check my lungs they remark about the wheezing they can hear, even if I am feeling fine. I asked the doctor if she heard any wheezing at all when she was listening and she stated she could not hear anything except air, and that my lungs sounded clear. That was a great thing to hear, and something I haven't heard in a long time.

Just another example of a reason to keep on vaping, and leave the cigarettes where they belong... behind the counter at the gas station.

That is amazing man! I am so glad I am off analogs and have not looked back since my first vape mail came in. Vape on!

Great stories everyone! Glad to hear I'm not the only one too.

Showed these posts to my wife who has the beginning stage of emphysema and it was great encouragement to her on her quest to quit. She's wondering if any of you experience difficulty in vaping in the morning/evening hours. She is having a hard time with it making her cough at those times.

She's tried not lung inhaling, turning the voltage down, taking smaller vapes and it hasn't helped any. Her lung damage was incurred at a young age, before she started smoking, not that it helped her any. She's gone from 2 PAD down to 1/2 a pack with the help of vaping. Today was her best day ever at only 6 cigs. Baby steps for her has been her most successful method so far.

Could it be the juice that she is vaping? I find it hard to vape certain juices in the morning and evening than during the day.

I had to go to the emergency room and they asked if I smoked or had smoked and I told them I vape, and they marked it down as smoking. I even threw out a little lie telling them there isnt even nicotine in my ecig and they still put it down as smoking. Also when my gf was in the ED for over 2 nights they didnt care if I vaped.

diaged with asthma @3yrs old. started smoking 26 years ago. im now on zolair injection 2x a month. so far so good fisrt time n close to 2 weeks ive used my inhaler was right after cutting the grass yesterday. headachs have gone away latly. im doing better.
now i just need to get the bp down from 130/80 just a little bit. time to change some of what im eating

Muskydawg - I had a miserable time getting used to vaping. Miserable. Cough, hack, cough, scratchy throat hell. Obviously you need to drink more water to keep hydrated but it didn't help my throat. Ice cream did. Milkshake, actually. Made little ones, still do, not big honking ones. A couple of spoonfuls of ice cream would probably work too but the milkshakes are more fun. I also had to go up to 24mgs to stay off the cigarettes. One day I realized it was to much for me, was making me feel ill, and cut back to 16. She will find what works for when the time comes. Tell her to keep up the good work! I'm pulling for her!

Musicka - That's bs. I'd make them change it. many people have to pay more per month for health insurance if they smoke and if these "records" got into the insurance company's hands, the vaperer would be in a bit of hot water until the false reporting was sorted out. Vaping is NOT smoking. They are falsifying your medical records. It really makes me so I'm just going to shut up now. I'm so sorry this happened to you.

Nomoe: Way to go! Keep up the good work! My asthma was/is not nearly that bad, I really feel for you. My asthma is allergy induced and I can't believe how much it has improved over the last five months. It's certainly not gone but gee whiz, what a difference no cigarettes make!
