Hello all, I have been trying to quit smoking because of a case of asthma. I had a pretty bad case of asthma as a child, but stopped having asthma attacks when I was about 14. I started smoking about a year ago and noticed after a couple of months I began having problems with my asthma. I am easily able to go a week or two with a cigarette, but then it just drives me mad. I've decided perhaps I should look into getting an e-cigarette.

I'm not so much into smoking as I enjoy the taste and relaxation of cigarettes. I'm looking for something with a moderate throat hit and a good taste. I've been looking around and the Blu E-Cigarette looks pretty promising, but I'm not entirely sold on it. My biggest concern about it though is the lack of flavors. I honestly enjoy smoking hookah a lot more than I do cigarettes as it gives me the same effects, and the taste is simply amazing. I'm quite a fan of fruity flavors, but the only fruity flavor Blu has is cherry (which is something I'm generally not found of). Is it possible to fill the cartridges with other flavors?

I had the blu, and it was great to get me off of cigs. But shortly after I upgraded to a 510 and was so much happier. I just recently upgraded to an ego with a LR atty and wow. Just wow.
This is a nice reasonably priced starter kit.
Joye 510 NO BOX
If you think you'd want a pcc, and I would bet you would.
Joye 510 with PCC
If you want an e-cig with up to 10 hrs of battery life (moderate vaping)
Joye eGo
If you are interested in an ego type with a larger battery, you can also check out the hello 016
Hello 016 E-Cig kit

Hope this helps.

One thing you can't go wrong with at modernvapor is trying the halo liquid at 15ml bottles instead of the 30ml.

This is where im going to go to try the freedom and torque, maybe a little bella

Honestly the 510 is very popular here, it provides consistant and good TH and is used or they make many adaptors to fit the 510 atomizer onto different batteries. It is highly customizable for one and it isn't a model you HAVE to keep going back to the same vendor to get things that fit for it.

The slidesho from what i gather is an m401, you should look more into reviews of what people think of the m401 and see how they like it compared to a 510 or the kr808.

The blu e-cig is an l88b i believe. Its easier to find reviews by model than whats on their sites... you get real reviews i find. I almost went with a blu until i saw this forum and glad i didn't waste my money

I ordered my first Joye Ego today from this site
PureSmoker.com - USA Electronic Cigarettes & USA Made eLiquid!!!
They are running a sale for the next 24hr or so.

I also started out with the Blu went to the Modern Vapor Slideshow and 902 but I keep searching for just the right one. Don’t get me wrong I love all the ecigs I got. I have been off analogs for about 5 months now and spend less testing new units then I did smoking.

Thanks Bert. Why did you prefer the Joye 510 over the Blu? And what's your opinion on Modern Vapor's Sidesho?
I prefer the 510 due to better battery life and it vapes so much better. I like the manual batteries better too, they give you more control. I just found it to be much better, and took care of my needs. Also It's really nice to refill your own carts. Blu carts don't hold as much juice. I cannot offer you an opinion on the sideshow because I know nothing about it. From what you described in terms of your needs, I feel a 510 will well suit you. But if you want a 510 with really long battery life, get the ego and save yourself money by not doing upgrades. I wish I started with the ego. Very quickly you get over the need for an ecig that feels and looks like a real cigarette in your hands. Bottom line, everyone wants performance.

Nothing can be closer to the true, i too wish i got my ego first like so many on this site recommended to me. after getting the ego, its alot smaller than i thought from the pictures and fits nicely in my hand.

@MXBNW - Puresmoker is where i got mine as well. You are going to love that LR Atty they through in there for you to try. For 70$ shipped i couldn't ever be happier.

You have to hold down the button every time you take a drag. When you push the button the battery activates the atomizer and you can drag.

I started with automatic batteries, but i prefer manual batteries now, you have better control in each drag and you can use everywhere (automatic ones activates with loud sounds so you can't use them in bars or clubs).
