If im just vaping its not bad for me.. The nicotene is like caffeine..

1) 'not bad for me' is totally incorrect. vaping has arguably less risk compared to smoking, nonetheless it does come with risk. Your body and lungs will be thankful if you stayed away.
2) 'nicotene is like caffeine' - You should stick to caffeine, it'll cost a lot less in the long run.

I have smoked for over 18 years and wish I never started. I am vaping to try to quit. Vaping should be used as a tool for smokers to quit. I would not recommend vaping if you have never smoked. And, as whyanon said, vaping is not totally safe. You are still inhaling foreign substances into your lungs, even if you vape 0 nicotine.

This whole argument that nicotine is the same as caffeine needs to be re-thought IMO.

I saw my cardiologist the other day and asked him point blank about this. His answer was that he would rather I drank coffee 24/7 than to have even the smallest amount of nicotine. It is true that both nicotine and caffeine affect the heart. But nic is far worse according to him.

He also said that he would rather I use my PV as a delivery system for the nic since he understands that addictions cannot be dropped over night. He is very happy with my progress and if I keep it up, I just may be able to get off these meds by next year. And then maybe I won't fall victim to the heart disease that has claimed some of my family members.

Now, OP, my question to you is.......WHY THE HECK do you wanna risk having to be on some kind of medication for the rest of your life or have a heart attack by the time you are 40 for a .......what did you call it? A "buzz"??????

If you are over 18, you couldn't prove it by that statement. You are certainly NOT what I would consider an adult making adult descisions.

If you read the link Classwife provided, you would clearly see that the prohibition of drug-related terminology has nothing to do with any local or government legalities. It has to do with avoiding Google searches for any drug, illegal or otherwise recreational, being linked to ECF. It is all part of the fight against government regulation of e-cigs. It is not a commentary or judgement on drug use in any way.

Will 0nic give me a buzz? I need to get a little break from all the .... in my life... Will 0 nic work or do I need a little nic to relax a little

Don't worry I won't give you any fatherly type advice since there's been plenty dispensed already. When I first started smoking oh yeah, I got that temporary little buzz feeling when inhaling cigarettes. The problem is that that sensation (buzz as you pretty accurately describe it) will go away very quickly and you'll no longer get that effect. The reason is your body very quickly builds up it's level of tolerance to nicotine. Within just a few times of using nicotine (whether smoking or vaping) you will lose that buzz and no longer get it.

Unless you're going to very strictly limit yourself to a few hits of vaping or smoking a day you will lose that buzz guaranteed. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but if you want to get a buzzy type feeling on a regular basis you can stand in one spot and spin around until you're dizzy. As far as I know the body does not build up a tolerance to that and you could do that several times a day without risking getting addicted to anything. If you do start vaping or smoking for the nicotine "buzz" and you do more than a few puffs a day I can guarantee you that your body will build up it's tolerance level to nicotine and you'll no longer get that feeling. Unfortunately by the time you decide to give it up you may be addicted to the nicotine.

Addictions (including nicotine) can happen very quickly and you might find yourself addicted before you even know it and then struggle like the rest of us here. We really aren't trying to be mean or dumb old farts who don't understand it's just that we do care about others and would hate to see others walk down some of the same paths we have. I apologize since I did get into the fatherly advice part that I was going to try and avoid. It was not my intention when I started typing. Good luck to you my friend.

Woah...where is this stuff that nicotine is more dangerous than caffeine? Caffeine has a lethal dosage of about 150-200mg. 10x that of nicotine. Is that what we are referring to? Many articles around the web have nicotine and caffeine close in addiction 'levels'. One such article suggests 30% of users of nicotine are addicted and the same with caffeine. More dangerous? Hardly or barely. Whichever you prefer.

I mean, if I he had asked "Where can I get the best coffee?" Would any of you have given it a second thought?

As with the rest, he's 18. He has the right to do what he wishes. Respecting his parents wishes would probably be best. However, are we to lead him to smoking cigarettes?

I used myvaporstore.com as my initial starting hardware supply store. Good service. Might be a smidge higher than various places, but I know for sure they sell genuine products (not saying others don't).

I will say though, not being addicted to anything is always nice; but if you're going to use nicotine no matter what, then vaping is the safest way imho (health wise; compared to cigarettes and the best way to stay off the cigarettes.)

There are other ways to relax a little. As many here have discovered a whole bunch of ways for relaxation, perhaps you could share some that are working for you and/or others that aren't working so well.

Like me, I sometimes will use music to relax in my own way. A lot lot lot more safe than vaping / smoking and usually gives me a better 'buzz.'

To answer the question you keep asking, 0 nicotine will not give you a buzz.
Vaping can be a decent way to relax, but there are other ways that might be just as effective, likely more.
It certainly doesn't remove the ..... in your life. But it can help relax just a bit and perhaps help focus a bit as well.
Read up on the other newbie threads and feel free to come back here if you still have questions.
