First few puffs taste strange...

Hi Everybody,
I just got my Blu ecig today and started smoking and the first few puffs seems very strange. I felt like as if some strange taste was coming to my tongue and felt like a few droplets of some liquid in my tongue.
So wanted to know from my seniors over here that if they have experienced similar kind of things or is it some defect with the item I've got. I'm very much worried if some unwanted chemicals are going to my body or not. Also in the material they supplied they have not mentioned the ingredients. Will smoking ecigs for long cause any side effects?

Also please mention how long you guys have been using ecigs so that I can get some confidence.

Did you blow the primer fluid out of the atty first?

One thing manufacturers really need to throw in the front of the manual, or on a little flash sheet in the package is.

"Please blow out your atomizers before their first use, as there may still be some primer liquid left inside them"

This would help curb this issue immensely.

As far as any liquid you feel come out of the PV into your mouth, spit it out obviously.. since concentrated bits of liquid nic can make you very sick. (oh lame, that rhymed)

I've been vaping since Oct '09, there's a few little tidbits and quirks ecigs have. Once you get used to them or know of their existence, your experience will get better.

Actually with the blu it should state in the instructions to rinse the bridge with hot water to get the primer off. I started off with Volcano's, which are the same, back in September 2009. With that style it's best to keep your e-cig at a downward slant to prevent any juice from getting into your mouth.
