The case will cover the tape and it looks good, case on its own does not stop the door from opening but at least it stops the batts from spilling out, I'll post a few pics in a min

Sorry, I must correct myself. She has the Gen3 Dual.

And there lies the problem both versions of the gen 3 have a flimsy battery cover, with just a small plastic catch to hold it on relying on the battery connecting springs to keep the door shut, however in practice that don't work, the catches wear out, I'm very annoyed to be honest cause it wasn't cheap, I actually love the mod but it's a design failure in my opinion
